Baglietto is proud to announce the launch of motor yacht LION, 48m hull no. 10233 La Spezia, 4 th June 2021 – The motor yacht Lion , 48m hull #10233 hit the water yesterday. The third hull of the successful Baglietto displacement traditional line is destined for a South American shipowner and she is currently under construction at the shipyard in La Spezia with the supervision of Tommaso Bilotta of Camper & Nicholsons , as Owner’s technical advisor and project manager. The exterior bears the sign of Francesco Paszkowski Design and presents stylistic and functional improvements compared to her sisterships, the motor yachts “Andiamo” and “Silver Fox”. Sobriety, calmness and elegance best define the interior of this yacht curated by the Baglietto Interior Design Team , while Leonardo Santi was nominated by the Buyer to help him with the definitions of interior decorations and loose furniture . Natural and warm colors of bronze and ocher compliment the soft shades of brown that personalize the rooms, which are characterized by the use of few, but precious materials, aimed at creating an ever-unique contrasting harmony. Accents in glossy dark wood against the neutral oak background of walls and floors cut out furnishing elements, consoles, and wardrobes, embellished with bronzed inserts, which together with soft shapes and radiated walls create a uniform and welcoming living space. The vessel has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. It offers incredible volumes and outside areas that are both exquisite and unique – including a vast 140-square-meter sun deck. The stern has a fantastic pool with tanning beds. Still, those looking for soothing shadows can unwind by the roll-bar and lunch area, which has a coffee-bar, barbecue grill, and refrigerator, and is directly connected to the galley thanks to a dumb waiter. A wide sun-bathing area is located forward to this deck. The rounded shape of this deck offers a 360-degree view that is enhanced by glass bulwarks. As per the Owner’s request, a crystal lift connects the decks, including the sun deck. Compared to her two sisterships, this model has a different layout for the upper deck, which offers more space to the sky lounge and extends to the outside thanks to a semi-circular window. This layout creates a winter garden that houses a comfortable dining table for 12 guests. The large, full-height windows with no obstructions both on this deck and the main deck allow natural light to enter and provide a direct connection to the sea. Another exciting feature is the lower deck’s layout, which includes two large double cabins that can be transformed into four double cabins thanks to a sliding partition wall. This feature was explicitly requested by the Owner, who now has three real master suites. Finally, the aft 46-square-meter beach area includes a relaxation space and a spa with fully equipped gym. The tenders and two jet skis are found at the bow. The motorization with MTU 12V2000M72 allows to cruise at a maximum speed of 15 knots and 11 knots of cruising speed. Baglietto shipyard: Boat builder Baglietto specialises in the construction of new planing aluminium yachts ranging between 38 and 50 metres in length and steel & aluminium displacement mega-yachts above 40 metres. Baglietto can currently rely on 2 production sites, in La Spezia (headquarters) and Carrara (operating site). The La Spezia headquarters extend over an area of approximately 35,000 sq. m. Over the last few years, the entire production site has been extensively renovated and enlarged. Three new sheds (the last one was inaugurated in March 2020) allowing for the construction of yachts up to 65 m in length were built in La Spezia, as well as new fully equipped quays, to berth vessels of up to 70 m. The operating site in Carrara, conversely, comprises 2 areas of 5,000 sq. m each. One is used to build military crafts, while in the other – now equipped with 4 new sheds – yachts up to 50 m in length are built. Baglietto’s activities are set to grow considerably, not only regarding the construction of new pleasure vessels, but also in the military sector, with the BAGLIETTO NAVY brand, under which 2 crafts for the Italian Navy are currently under construction.  Baglietto 48m T-Line superyacht Lion deliveredItalian yard Baglietto has announced the delivery of its 48 metre superyacht Lion , previously known as hull 10233. It comes after the yacht, which is the third hull in Baglietto’s displacement traditional line, hit the water for the first time on June 3. The construction of the yacht was overseen by Camper & Nicholsons, which also acted as the South American owner’s technical advisor. The exterior design is penned by Francesco Paszkowski Desig n , which worked closely with the owner to make “stylistic and functional improvements” to Lion’s design in comparison to sisterships Andiamo and Silver Fox . Designed in-house in collaboration with Leonardo Santi, the interior is defined by "sobriety, calmness and elegance," according to the yard. "Natural and warm colours of bronze and ochre" contrast with "soft shades of brown" throughout. Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the yacht offers “impressive volumes and unique outside areas,” said the yard. The 140 square metre sun deck features a swimming pool at the stern surrounded by sunbeds, as well as a lunch area, with a coffee bar, barbecue and refrigerator. This area is directly connected to the galley via a dumb waiter. Forward of the sun deck, there is a sunbathing area with 360-degree ocean views. A specific request from the owner has seen the inclusion of a crystal lift connecting all decks of the yacht, including the sun deck. Lion features an upper deck layout that gives more space to the skylounge. This extends outside to create a winter garden and includes a dining table capable of seating 12 guests. The lower deck layout meanwhile will have two large double cabins that can be transformed into four double cabins thanks to a sliding partition wall - this was another specific request from the owner. The 46 square metre beach club meanwhile includes a spa with a fully equipped gym and steam bath. The tenders and two jet skis sit at the bow. Power will come from twin MTU 12V2000M72 engines offering a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots.
