The ‘San Bernardo’ is a 146.88ft  /44.77-meter  Heesen 4400 motor yacht built in 2011 by Heesen. The beautiful exterior and interior design is the work of Omega Architects.

San Bernardo’s spacious layout sleeps up to 10 guests in 5 rooms, including a master suite, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. She can comfortably carry 9 crew members onboard and provides all with an incredibly luxurious yachting experience.

Many special features make the San Bernardo a popular choice including its expansive living areas, large open deck spaces and a sundeck Jacuzzi with surrounding sunpads. You’ll stay connected with fast Wi-Fi connection, and be able to immerse yourself in the elegant, high-spec interior and furnishings.

San Bernardo is built with an aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, and she is built to comply to MCA standards. With a cruising speed of 18 knots, a maximum speed of 25 knots and a range of 3,200nm from 69,000litre fuel tanks, the superyacht is the ideal high performance choice for your sailing adventure.

Air conditioning is available throughout, so you’ll be comfortable whatever the weather.

San Bernardo also comes complete with a modern stabilization system to reduce roll motion even during rough seas, and the yacht also has ‘at anchor stabilizers’ to keep things smooth even at anchor/zero speed.

Fun is certainly at the heart of San Bernardo and you’ll find toys on board including 2 x Yamaha VX Cruiser Waverunners, Water-Skis (for adults and children), Wake Boards (for adults and children), 1 x 3 Person Banana, 2 x Doughnuts, Snorkelling Equipment, Fishing Equipment, 4 x Scuba Diving Equipment with two extra bottles, a Dive Compressor and wet suits.

Frank Laupman, from Omega, and Heesen have created an exterior styling which features sleek and elegant lines. This distinct model - along with the superior comfort and the high-quality workmanship that Heesen is known for - accounts for the known success of series motor yacht. SAN BERNARDO yacht can accommodate a maximum of 10 charter guests, sleeping in five cabins, and 12 guests when day cruising.

The layout on superyacht SAN BERNARDO is conceived for making the most of the outdoor living. Accordingly, charter guests can socialise in four distinct areas. Firstly, the yacht's main deck offers a spacious aft cockpit, and alternatively, there is also the very intimate forward cockpit - ideal for ensuring guest privacy when the yacht is stern docked in the harbour. Thirdly, the comfortable aft cockpit on the upper deck adjoins the sky lounge and also aloft there is a very spacious flybridge with a circular spa pool and an alfresco area with a dining table capable of sitting ten charter guests.

Entering the accommodation from the aft deck, motor yacht SAN BERNARDO's guests are welcomed into a cosy semi-circular conversation area, which leads forward into a more formal saloon. A low cabinet divides the saloon from the dining area, further forward.

The galley communicates with the dining area through a sliding door. Forward, on the starboard side leads on into the owner's suite, which features a full beam bedroom with an adjoining his and hers bathroom ensuites. A further eight guests can be accommodated in four cabins positioned on the lower deck, of which two are VIP cabins, and two are twin cabins.

SAN BERNARDO is the seventh yacht launched in the Heesen semi-displacement, all-aluminium, 4400 Class of superyacht. She was created in collaboration with Frank Laupman of Omega Architects who has plenty of experience being active in luxury yacht design for 25 years now.

SAN BERNARDO Specifications

This motor yacht has a potential maximum speed of 25 knots with its twin MTU 16BV 4000 M90 types of diesel, each delivering up to 2,720kW. However, her efficient cruise speed is 12 knots.

This distinct design, along with the superior comfort and the high quality workmanship is evident throughout this megayacht.

OUTDOOR LIVING

The layout on Heesen motor yacht SAN BERNARDO makes the most of outdoor living. Accordingly, charter guests can socialize in four distinct areas. The yacht’s main deck offers a spacious aft cockpit as well as the very intimate forward cockpit, ideal for ensuring guest privacy when the yacht is docked stern to. The aft cockpit on the upper deck adjoins the sky lounge. There is also a very spacious fly bridge with a circular Jacuzzi spa pool and an alfresco area, with a dining table capable of sitting ten charter guests.

The vessel offers several sunbathing areas, both forward and on the flybridge deck.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The Master cabin is on the main deck and features an adjoining study. On the lower deck, there are two VIP double cabins and two twin cabins.

The interior of the yacht is contemporary and light – with cream and white tones and brown leather chairs and cushions.

ENTERTAINMENT

For entertainment, Satellite TV and MP3 connections are present throughout the yacht.

How to Get to the Cascais Marina

By car: Follow the A5 highway and take the Cascais exit towards the village center.

By bus: On the M27 highway there is a stop, Avenida da República, from where you have to walk about 300 meters to your destination.

By train: Cascais station is your destination (the last one for those coming from Lisbon). From there, head towards the bay by walking along Passeio Maria Pia, next to the Cidadela building, and enter the Cascais Marina through the pedestrian entrance.

• The Riacho Grande district , predominantly covered by the Billings water reservoir and Parque Estaudal Serra do Mar (a preserved rainforest area). The district is the starting point of the Caminhos do Mar walking tour, that descends along the rainforest until the coast, offering breathtaking views and containing historical constructions from Brazil's Imperial era.

Both districts of São Bernardo are easily accessible from São Paulo by the Anchieta motorway.

By public transport

From São Paulo, the main district of São Bernardo can be reached by the metropolitan bus operated by EMTU, that departs from the Jabaquara metro and bus station. This bus is reasonably fast since it has a dedicated corridor.

From São Paulo's Far South to Riacho Grande

The district of Riacho Grande is next to São Paulo's Far South , and it is actually possible to go from one area to another, using either car or public transport. This ride is an adventure in itself, and it is an excellent way to admire the beautiful nature that surrounds the urban area of São Paulo.

The journey begins at Av. Da. Belmira Marin, in Grajaú (that starts from Av. Senador Teotônio Vilela), and involves taking three ferry boats over the Billings Reservoir. The second ferry boat crosses the border between São Paulo and São Bernardo do Campo, and if you are going by bus, you need to go on this ferry boat on foot (although you may take another bus in the other side). The total length of the journey, from Av. Senador Teotônio Vilela to the main village of Riacho Grande, is about 30 km.

• [ dead link ] Caminhos do Mar route , Rodovia Caminho do Mar, Riacho Grande , ☏ +55 11 2997-5000 . A 8-km walking route that goes from the south of Riacho Grande to the city of Cubatão, close to the coast. The route goes down in a deactivated motorway, passing across Parque Estadual Serra do Mar , the largest patch of preserved Atlantic rainforest remaining in Brazil. The route offers amazing views of the mountain range of Baixada Santista, of the industrial complex of Cubatão, and it is possible to spot the sea on sunny days. It also includes 8 monuments constructed in 1922 to celebrate the Independence of Brazil, plus Calçada de Lorena , a road constructed in the country's Imperial era (1792). After reaching Cubatão, if you wish to go back by the same route, be prepared for a serious uphill. free .  
• Prainha de Riacho Grande ( Praia de Paulista ), Riacho Grande district center ( from São Bernardo main district, take right on Rod. Anchieta after crossing the Billings reservoir ). A freshwater beach by the Billings reservoir, located at the central village of Riacho Grande.

The park and zoo has 373,000 m², mostly covered by Atlantic rainforest, and it is on the shore of the Billings reservoir. The park contains a zoo with 250 animals and various activities such as paddle boats and cable cars. Boat rides over the Billings reservoir are also offered. São Bernardo do Campo sits in a privileged location, being the city of the metropolitan area of São Paulo closest to the beach. In good traffic conditions, the coastal cities Santos , Praia Grande, Guarujá , Bertioga and São Vicente can all be reached in 45-50 min from the city center of São Bernardo by taking Rodovia Anchieta .

However, only Santos is reachable by the local intercity bus service, provided by Viação Cometa . To get to other coastal cities by bus it is necessary to go first to the Jabaquara intercity bus terminal, in São Paulo, or take another intercity bus in Santos.
