Gigreca is the first unit in Admiral’s Silent 76 series and the Italian shipyard’s first foray into sailing yachts. Commissioned by a meticulous owner, the 23.2-metre sailing yacht is custom designed by Debenedetti & Fiordi with a glass and aluminium hardtop and a metallic hull. Accommodation is for up to eight guests across four en suite cabins. Gigreca boasts a joystick docking system for easy berthing and a double engine configuration that earns the series its title, delivering top speeds of 13 knots with incredibly low levels of noise and vibration.

Gigreca is asking €1,980,000 with Camper & Nicholsons .

This 33.5-metre schooner started life in 1921 as a pilot schooner, inspired by the Baltimore Clippers running between the United States and the Caribbean. She has undergone nearly a decade of colourful ownership, most notably owned by King Farouk I of Egypt after the Second World War, who remodelled her to royal standards. A five-year keel-up restoration starting in 2006 by the Atollvic Shipyard saw her completely overhauled to bring her up to modern standards while preserving the original integrity of the boat.

No.6 Texel is asking €1,950,000 with Fraser .

Built by Italcraft in 2007 as part of its Maxi Drago 105 series, this 31-metre motor yacht underwent a sizeable technical and cosmetic refit when bought from the new owner in 2021. This involved a fresh teak deck, new Fisher Panda 35Kw generators, anti-osmosis treatment and a brand-new full service Arnesson system. Sub Zero is an all-GRP vessel whose planning hull and MTU engines allow her to reach exhilarating top speeds of 40 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots. She can comfortably accommodate eight guests across four cabins, including a full-beam master suite.

Sub Zero is asking €1,850,000 with Attica Yachts .

Excelerate Z

Excelerate Z is one of the highest-specced Sunseeker 94s available on the brokerage market. This 28-metre motor yacht was substantially refitted in 2022, which involved a complete upgrade of all communication, navigation, audiovisual and connectivity systems, with the new equipment installed typically found on much larger yachts. Her classic, understated interiors are courtesy of Bannenberg and Rowell , with accommodation for up to eight across four ensuite cabins. Excelerate Z ’s top deck is her main convivial area, featuring a bar, Jacuzzi and ample sunbathing space.

Excelerate Z is asking €1,850,000 with Ocean Independence .

Sea Breeze III

This all-wood, 30.8-metre Millkraft motor yacht was delivered in 1976 and was once owned by New Zealand’s wealthiest individual Graeme Hart. Sea Breeze III’ s heritage Hollywood style has been preserved over the years, most recently with a visit to specialist refit yard Oceania Marine in 2019. Work lasted throughout the pandemic and involved an extensive paint job, a full interior overhaul and the removal, redesign, and strengthening of four metres of the upper aft deck. She has accommodation for up to six guests, with interiors that still proudly display much of the original mahogany and texturing.

Sea Breeze III is asking $1,700,000 with 36 Degrees Brokers .

De Vrouwe Christina

Modelled after the traditional Dutch Tjalk vessels, De Vrouwe Christina was launched in September 1957 and is the only vessel of her kind to have been built by Feadship . She is in impeccable, seaworthy condition thanks to a dedicated maintenance record and extensive refits in 2002 and 2017. With a range of 1000 nautical miles, her current owners have proven her capabilities by visiting Alaska, New England and South America in recent years. This spritsail barge can accommodate six across three cabins, with surprisingly spacious interiors that include a two-level saloon with stainless steel stairs, a Yamaha self-playing piano and an open galley.

De Vrouwe Christina is asking $990,000 with Camper & Nicholsons .

Elena is a 26.2-metre, all-weather explorer yacht built in steel by Dutch yard Kramer & Booy . A former fishing vessel, she was converted and fully renovated into a private yacht. Elena was completely refitted in 2017, with everything but the hull, superstructure and main engine replaced for the latest available equipment. She accommodates six guests overnight up to thirty for day cruises, plus accommodation for four crew. Design highlights include her spacious sundeck with 360-degree views, a shaded lower aft deck for lounging and easy walk-around decks. While currently under private use, she would also work well as a commercial dive vessel.

Elena is asking €840,000 with Ocean Independence.

Dolce Vita II

Launched in 2000, Dolce Vita II belongs to the sporty Leopard 24 series. She lives up to the Leopard legacy with a planing hull and twin MTU engines that deliver a top speed of 35 knots. She also has an impressively low 0.9-metre draft, perfect for cruising the shallow waters of the Bahamas. Exterior design is courtesy of Paolo Caliari and a fun element to note is the large sun pad aft, which can be removed to reveal a custom Hibachi grill. Accommodation is for seven across three cabins, including a master cabin fitted with a vanity, entertainment centre and minibar.

Spirit of MK

Spirit of MK is a classic yacht delivered by CRN in 1981. The 33.5 metre has been meticulously maintained over the years and is offered for sale fresh from a top-to-bottom refit in 2021. Her classic design is instantly recognisable on the water and she has enjoyed a long life as a successful charter yacht. Up to 11 guests can enjoy deluxe cabins and standout amenities such as an outdoor cinema, an extensive wine cellar, and shaded al fresco dining. A white superstructure is paired with a navy hull and red boot stripe.

The 34-metre motor yacht Bel-Ami II , built in Italy by Codecasa and delivered in 1988, is a true modern classic thanks to a major refit in 2008 and a more extensive refurbishment in 2019. She can accommodate eight guests in four cabins and her above-average volume for her length results in spacious living and dining areas. The polished, original wooden panelling has not been lost through the various refits and continues to add character in the yacht’s simple yet sophisticated interior.

Lady Victoria

The 27-metre motor yacht Lady Victoria was built by Italian yard Ferretti and delivered in 2005. Her design was a joint effort between Ferretti and Italian design studio Zuccon International Project. She can accommodate up to eight guests in four cabins, including a bright master with two big open-view windows that flood the cabin with light. Standout features include the hydro-massage bath on the flybridge and the teak dining table on the lower rear deck that’s beautifully close to the sea.

Sunseeker ‘s 28-metre Mr Sea was delivered by the British yard in 2009 and has since enjoyed several refits in her lifetime – the most recent in 2021. The crowning jewel of this yacht is her flybridge. The space naturally becomes the hub of guest socialising and entertainment thanks to its al fresco dining area serviced by a bar and grill. On the lower deck, the yacht accommodates eight guests across four cabins, including a full-beam master and a VIP with en-suite. Her 25-bottle wine cellar in the saloon is also worthy of a mention.

Overmarine ‘s 33-5-metre King was launched in 2004 as one of the yard’s Mangusta 108 models. She’s been well-kept through the years with an extensive refit in 2017/2018. King was built with performance in mind (she has a top speed of 37 knots), but also style – her sporty lines are the work of Stefano Righini. She is made for outdoor living, with plenty of space to relax or dine al fresco on the aft and fore decks. The interior, meanwhile, is classic with wood panelling and flooring running through the main saloon, dining room, and five cabins sleeping up to nine guests.

The 33.5-metre motor yacht Il Capo was built and designed by American boat builder Broward Marine and delivered in 2004. She was later refitted with a number of upgrades between 2017 and 2022 including a brand new paint job in Matterhorn White and a complete interior redesign courtesy of Luiz De Basto. The yacht has a proven charter record, with highlights for guests being a sun-filled main saloon, characterful wooden panelling across her four cabins, and a shaded sun deck complete with a Jacuzzi.

Posillipo 95

The 29.6-metre motor yacht Posillipo 95 was delivered by Posillipo in 2005 and refitted with modern details in 2017. She’s been designed and built with outdoor living in mind. The aft deck comprises generous dining and seating areas, as well as an extended swim platform, while the flybridge offers even more space plus charter-friendly features such as a BBQ grill and a retractable canvas roof. She has four cabins sleeping up to 10 guests.

Dating back to the seventies, the 26-metre motor yacht Impetuous is a piece of marine history. She was built in the Netherlands by Dutch yard Feadship and delivered in 1977 – her most recent owner, an experienced yachtsman, has taken care of her for 25 years. An aluminum hull and superstructure were designed by H.W. De Voogt, with graceful interior styling by the late Pierre Tanter. As well as being a great cruiser for up to six guests, Impetuous also serves as a fully-functional sportfishing yacht with additional scuba diving capabilities.

The 30-metre motor yacht Julie II was delivered in 2001 by Astondoa and is one of the Spanish yard’s 95 GLX models. Designed by Italian studio Nuvolari Lenard, she’s both stylish and speedy. A well-executed 2022 refit saw improvements to her spacious interior, which includes accommodation for 10 guests in four cabins. Standout features include sun pads on the flybridge and forward, plus the al fresco dining area for long Mediterranean evenings.

The 24.6-metre motor yacht Safari has a long history of chartering and has been continually upgraded to keep her shipshape. Built in Taiwan by Symbol and delivered in 2002 as one of two Symbol 80 models built by Symbol, the yacht features design by Jack Sarin that prioritises comfort. She features accommodation for six guests in three spacious cabins, as well as a choice of living spaces inside and out the flybridge, aft deck and foredeck. She’s considered a good choice for those looking for extended cruising.

Travel Tourism Company Pays $2.2 Million To Resolve Civil Claims Regarding Funds Obtained Under The Paycheck Protection Program

Tampa, FL – United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Miles Partnership, LLC (Miles), a travel and tourism consulting company headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, has agreed to a civil settlement of $2,281,950 to resolve allegations that Miles improperly obtained and received forgiveness of a loan under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

Congress created the PPP in March 2020 as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act to provide emergency loans to small businesses suffering economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The CARES Act authorized these businesses to seek forgiveness of the loans if they spent the loan funds on eligible expenses. When applying for PPP loans, borrowers were required to certify the truthfulness and accuracy of all information provided in their loan applications. The PPP was administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Under the PPP rules and regulations then in effect, companies that were required to file a registration statement under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) were not eligible for a PPP loan. 

GNGH2, Inc. filed a qui tam complaint in the Middle District of Florida alleging that Miles improperly obtained a second draw PPP loan for $2 million. According to the allegations in the complaint, Miles was required to file a registration statement under FARA due to its work with various foreign tourism boards. The United States investigated GNGH2’s allegations with the cooperation of Miles. The civil settlement will conclude the lawsuit filed by GNGH2 and GNGH2 will receive $207,450 as a share in the recovery.

“The United States Attorney’s Office is committed to investigating and holding responsible those applicants who improperly obtained loans under the PPP program,” said U.S. Attorney Roger B. Handberg for the Middle District of Florida. “We will continue to seek civil redress and, where appropriate, criminally prosecute those individuals and entities that obtained PPP loans to which they were not entitled.”

SBA’s General Counsel Therese Meers stated, “The favorable settlement in this case is the product of enhanced efforts by federal agencies such as the Small Business Administration working with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, other federal law enforcement agencies, as well as private individuals who uncover borrower misconduct to recover the lending program’s damages as well as penalties.”

The investigation was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher J. Emden, with assistance from the Small Business Administration - Office of General Counsel. 

On May 17, 2021, the Attorney General established the COVID-19 Fraud Enforcement Task Force to marshal the resources of the Department of Justice in partnership with agencies across government to enhance efforts to combat and prevent pandemic-related fraud. The task force bolsters efforts to investigate and prosecute the most culpable domestic and international criminal actors and assists agencies tasked with administering relief programs to prevent fraud by, among other methods, augmenting and incorporating existing coordination mechanisms, identifying resources and techniques to uncover fraudulent actors and their schemes, and sharing and harnessing information and insights gained from prior enforcement efforts. Operation kraken: afp restrains almost $2 million in assets in wa investigation.

The AFP-led Criminal Assets Confiscation Taskforce (CACT) has successfully restrained property valued at almost $2 million as part of an investigation into an alleged criminal syndicate in Western Australia, marking the first asset restraint under AFP Operation Kraken.

Cryptocurrency and two residential properties were restrained in August, 2024 under the Commonwealth Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

The assets were allegedly linked to a Perth man, who was identified as allegedly using the encrypted platform Ghost to communicate with other people being investigated by the AFP.

The CACT successfully applied to the WA District Court to restrain the assets as suspected proceeds of crime because the value of the cryptocurrencies and properties was “grossly out of proportion” to the man’s declared taxable income and expenditure.

Investigations are ongoing. The CACT will apply to have the restrained assets forfeited to the Commonwealth.

The AFP-led CACT brings together the resources and expertise of the AFP, Australian Taxation Office, Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission, AUSTRAC and Australian Border Force. It was permanently established in 2012 as a proactive and innovative approach to trace, restrain and ultimately confiscate criminal assets.

The highly skilled members of the CACT are located Australia-wide and comprise of police, financial investigators, forensic accountants, lawyers, cryptocurrency experts and partner agency specialists.

The Commonwealth’s proceeds of crime laws provide extensive tools for the restraint of both proceeds and instruments of crime, as well as imposing financial penalty and unexplained wealth orders, based on the civil standard of proof. Since 1 July, 2019, the CACT has restrained more than $1.1 billion in criminal assets, delivering a significant blow to organised criminals.

The funds ultimately confiscated by the courts are placed into the Confiscated Assets Account, a special purpose account, which is managed by the Australian Financial Security Authority on behalf of the Commonwealth. These funds can then be distributed by the Attorney-General as Minister responsible to benefit the community through crime prevention, intervention or diversion programs or other law enforcement initiatives across Australia.
