Your chartering queries at a glance

You can charter a vessel for as long as you like. We are able to cater for any time period that you may require, from day charters to month-long vacations onboard any one of our vessels.

You are most welcome to specify exactly what you want for your charter. Your charter consultant will work with you and the captain from the get-go, helping you compile the perfect voyage for you and your guests. You can be involved as much or as little as you like. However, you must keep in mind that your itinerary will be subject to change, depending on weather conditions and berth availability. We’ll do our best to maintain flexibility.

During the compilation of your itinerary and before you board the yacht, you’ll be able to complete an in-depth questionnaire in order for us to determine your food preferences and allergies, as well as the dietary and medical requirements for yourself and your guests. We’ll also look into your sporting or entertainment requests, enabling us and the crew to deliver the best possible experience throughout your charter.

We can arrange a charter for you at almost any given moment, be it next week or next year. However, if your availability is not flexible or if there’s a particular vessel you’d like to secure, we advise you book well ahead in advance to avoid disappointment.

Any tips are at your sole discretion. If the captain and crew have exceeded expectations, it is customary to give 5% to 15% of the total charter fee amount on your last day before you disembark. In order to avoid any misunderstanding between the crew members, it is advised to give the amount to the captain, who will allocate it to the crew accordingly.

In European territorial waters, VAT is included in the charter fee. This will be applied to most charters at the local rate of the country from which you start your journey, and will depend on your chosen itinerary. Your broker will be able to advise you on the tax situation for each destination.

APA stands for Advance Provisioning Allowance.

The APA is a straightforward and transparent way to get your vessel efficiently provisioned, without any hassle throughout your charter. An APA is an account that is set up for the captain, from which they can purchase provisions during the charter on your behalf. This includes food and drink, port fees, fuel, and any other berthing requirements. Your captain will keep a record of all receipts, as well as balance the account for you.

At the end of your journey, they will give you a full account of your expenditures, and you will be refunded any amount that has not been used. You’ll be able to check the expenditure level at any time you like during your charter.

Before you commence your charter, you will be asked to pay the Advance Provisioning Allowance. This usually amounts to around 30% of your final charter fee, depending on your choice of boat, which will determine your fuel consumption. The APA will be paid with the final charter payment.

In the event that all of the APA is used, you can add funds to the account directly through the captain in cash.

In order to protect your investment if unforeseen circumstances hinder or disrupt your charter, we strongly advise that you take out cancellation and curtailment insurance. It is also advised that members of the charter party be covered by a personal accident and medical insurance, as well as have certain valuables onboard insured against theft, loss or damage. Other forms of insurance, such as Charterer’s Liability, is also recommended.

We endeavour to be as transparent about any costs from the start. If you have any questions that need a quick answer, please do not hesitate to call us, and we’ll be happy to provide an estimate.

Nonetheless, some costs are bound to change, depending on your additional requests and itinerary. However, some costs may change depending on your itinerary and desires. This is a definite guideline of unavoidable fees which will come up during your charter:

Your main additional cost will be fuel consumption, which is covered by the APA. This is normally calculated by the hour, and a typical charter will burn 3 hours per day. At present, diesel prices are rising, but this usually costs between €1.20 and €1.80 per litre of fuel. Another definite charge to consider are mooring fees if you’ll be spending the night in a port, as well as any additional provisioning you may request during your charter. These are to be paid to your captain via the Advance Provisioning Allowance system.

An excellent day, highlight of our holiday. Communication beforehand was fantastic. We have been to Malta several times before and wanted to go to different swimming spots. Roderick our captain took us to the most idyllic places around Gozo, stunning scenery and crystal clear water to swim in, some we had to ourselves and all were very quiet. He was amazing, letting us dictate the day and he even got us fresh sea food from the rocks! Cannot recommend highly enough, when we return we will definitely book again!

You always are a little nervous when booking a day trip but Kirsten was above and beyond our expectations. He was early, a great boat, full on knowledge, adjusted the itinerary to suit our group. We appreciated the history he told us about Comino, Gozo and Malta. A few drinks, lots of laughs, heaps of swimming in stunning locations. Stop for us to get lunch, took photos and made us feel welcome. Thank you for one of our most epic experiences we have ever had.

We hebben de 3 bay cruise gedaan. We hebben deze cruise geregeld in het ramla bay resort bij een super vriendelijke en behulpzame jongen. Je krijgt voldoende tijd bij elke stop. De blue lagoon is druk, je kan best naar de overkant zwemmen als je rust wilt en mooi wilt snorkelen. De kapitein verandert de route als het door ruwe zee niet fijn is om in 1 van de baaien te stoppen. (Dit was bij ons het geval en we waren heel dankbaar hiervoor, want de andere boten gingen stevig tekeer.)

How do we reserve the boat?

You can book online by proceeding on the Book Now page. 

Which route do you suggest for a day charter?

On the day of our sailing trip, we can decide the route and stops together, or I can give you some recommendations. The potential stops include St. Paul’s Islands, Armier Bay, the Crystal Lagoon of Comino, and the Blue Lagoon of Comino. If the weather forces us south, we can visit Hoffriet Bays and St. Peter’s Pool.

How far is Comino from Valletta by boat?

Can we stop in a restaurant for lunch, can we bring our own food and drinks on board of the yacht, do you offer food and drinks at extra charge.

We also can provide food and drinks at extra charge. We can offer platters at €20 per person. You can choose between:  

• Maltese Platter: A fresh local peppered and white goat’s cheese, Maltese Sausage, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, Bigilla, capers, butter beans, fresh Maltese bread with Kunserva and Maltese water crackers (Galletti)
• Cheese Platter: A selection of cheeses served with mango chutney and Maltese water crackers (Galletti)
• Cold Cuts Platter: A selection of fresh cold cuts served with cranberry sauce and Maltese water crackers (Galletti).

Where do we get picked up from?

Easy and comfortable departure is from Marina di Valletta.

Can we go around Malta in one day with the boat? How long does it take?

To go around Malta it is necessary to book the boat at least for 2 days with overnight.

Can we go to Sicily?

At the moment we are not doing charters to Sicily. 

Will you provide us with water on board?

Yes, we will provide drinking water and water for showers. 

Hostess Service

If you wish not to bother about the drinks and lunch service but you really wish that someone takes care of that for you, then hostess service will make your trip more special.

Cancellation policy

Cancel up to 14 days in advance for a full refund. Within the 14 days it is possible to get full refund in case the weather is not safe to go out and skipper decides to cancel the charter.
