The 27m/88'7" motor yacht 'Atlantico' was built by Alia Yacht in Turkey at their Antalya shipyard. Her interior is styled by Monégasque designer design house Pastrovich and she was delivered to her owner in September 2019. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Pastrovich.

Range & Performance

Built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks, she has impressive speed and great efficiency thanks to her planing hull. Atlantico comfortably cruises at 24 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 30 knots. Her low draft of 1.15m/3'9" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines. She was built to CE classification society rules.

On Board Alia Yachts' 27 Metre Chase Boat Atlantico

Turkish yard Alia Yachts has released new images of its 27 metre chase boat Atlantico.

The yacht, which now serves the 55 metre CRN superyacht Atlante , was built to a full-aluminium design by Stefano Pastrovich . Atlantico was delivered last year and specifically designed to “echo” the profile of the mothership. 

Key features include aft bulwarks, which fold down to extend the main deck beach club and maximise contact with the sea.

Elsewhere, Atlantico features large windows, continuous teak decking and a “minimalist, open plan interior”. 

“We wanted to recereate the freedom offered by a residential loft apartment, where the owner can give space to his own creativity by choosing to change the layout or modifying his décor and function," Pastrovich said.

Accommodation is for four guests in two “stylish” cabins, while three Volvo Penta IPS engines provide a top speed of 28 knots.

Speaking about the design, Pastrovich said: " Atlantico is the result of long research and development work. It is the answer to the question: how can yacht design best meet the needs of modern owners?"

Alia Yachts president Gokhan Celik previously said: “This is a very cool full-aluminium yacht. The owner wants to use it as a fast day boat for exploring remote places or accessing secluded beaches.”

It’s rare that a chase boat outshines its mothership, but Alia Yachts may have achieved that anomaly. The Turkish yard has delivered a remarkable 89-footer that is just as luxurious as the superyacht it’s serving.

The vessel, known as Atlantico , is mated to CRN’s 180-footer Atlante . Alia says it fully matches the superyacht’s design language, in addition to its quality and function. Penned by Stefano Pastrovich of Pastrovich Studio , the all-aluminum explorer-type yacht features an aggressive profile, angular deckhouse and a military-looking mast that echoes the mothership. She also has a similar grey, DuPont metallic topcoat and matching circular windows.

Naturally, the interior recalls its supersized muse. It sports lavish dark wood furniture and paneling, plush pale-colored sofas and sun pads, along with a light-caulked teak deck. She can sleep four guests across two generous double cabins, which makes her perfect for overnight jaunts. It also means you have a little extra space should Atlante ’s five cabins fill up.

What’s more, the vessel can entertain guests in the same high style as the mothership. It features drop-down wings aft that effectively extend the expansive beach club area. Think of it as a Transformer on the sea. Elsewhere, a vast forward lounge and main saloon give Atlantico the feel of a much larger vessel.

Where she really excels, though, is performance. Atlantico is quicker and more agile than her bigger companion. The hull, which was designed by Lateral Naval Architects , was based on a proven patrol vessel platform and features a broad beam of 27 feet. This makes it possible for Atlantico to plane at high speeds despite her size. It also gives the vessel responsive handling even in tumultuous seas.

The yacht is fitted with three of Volvo’s most powerful IPS1350 engines that produce an exhilarating 3,000 hp and give the vessel a top speed of 28 knots. Atlante , on the other hand, has a max speed of 15 knots. She also sports two Seakeeper 26 gyro stabilizers that keep her nice and steady.

“The initial concept was to try and break conventional boundaries of width, proportions and livability of a support vessel,” says the owner of the two vessels. “Through a tight collaboration of those involved, the outcome is a fast open-plan platform by the sea with no compromise on quality, style, innovation and performance.”

The complex project fused naval architecture from Lateral with Alia’s shipbuilding know-how, which extended to every element of the interior furnishing. “The idea with Atlantico, from the real beginning, was to create something innovative & unique that could fully satisfy our needs: a fast & comfortable chase boat which can also be used independently. The initial concept was to try and break conventional boundaries of width, proportions and liveability of a support vessel,” says the owner of Atlantico and the mother ship Atlante. “Through tight collaboration of those involved, the outcome is a fast open-plan platform by the sea with no compromise on quality, style, innovation and performance.”

The blend of cool and comfort continues below, where there are two impressive double cabins with large freestanding beds. Gloss white walls contrast firmly with the dark, lavish wood of furniture and bulkhead paneling, all cleverly lit by indirect light. Small details strike you, such as the multiplicity of storage, hidden behind tessellating wooden panels with flush opening mechanisms.   There are all the amenities required of a large yacht, with two sophisticated shower rooms and a very capable crew galley aft, together with accommodation for up to four crew. “Atlantico is far more than a chase boat,” says Çelik. “This is a boat which can easily be used as a stylish weekender for exploring shallow bays or inaccessible islands, and offers both exhilarating speed and the range to cover 600 nautical miles at cruising speed.”   “We have built a very unique vessel that reflects her owner’s unparalleled vision and impeccable taste. To bring this machine into being with uncompromising quality, and within the requested performance levels – it was a challenge for all those involved. We couldn’t have done it without the experience we have gained from building highly complex 50m-plus superyachts.”   And it seems that the owner’s vision has been fully delivered. “Atlantico turned out to be the perfect fit for us: extensively used as a chase boat for fast transfers and beautiful days at sea. Perfect for short “independent” getaways,” adds the owner. “Alia was pivotal in the realization and construction of the project. Quality and attentions to detail outperformed our expectations.”

Stefano pastrovich designed the 27m chase boat atlantico that supports the 55m motor yacht atlante ..

The boat was built by the Turkish yacht builder Alia Yachts , the naval architecture BMT . The 27m yacht has a generous beam of 8.30 meters that can usually found on yachts of about 40 meters. When the terraces are folded down, the beam of ATLANTICO is 10.20 meters.

“Atlantico is the result of long research and development work,” says Pastrovich. ”It is the answer to the question: how can yacht design best meet the needs of modern owners?”

Designer Stefano Pastrovich follows the LESS IS MORE concept by the German-American architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe . that also influenced M/Y ATLANTICO .

“We think that designing a deck without fixed furniture helps to free the mind and give space to the personal creativity of the owner,” says Pastrovich. “Drawing on the essential is a bit like drawing silence or emptiness. It is a work of surgical difficulty, because it requires great concentration to abstract the mind from daily reality of information overload.”

The interior welcomes four guests in two cabins and a crew of four in two cabins. ATLANTICO carries a Williams 385 tender.
