Sailing from Bergen, Tromso or the Lofoten Islands you will be surrounded by spectacular views from your yacht and there is always something interesting for you and your family to look at. You can enjoy sailing around Norway’s rugged islands and beautiful coastline with its untouched landscapes and colourful scenery. Sail into the deep fjords past some of the largest waterfalls in the world as they cascade and tumble down the cliffs into the fjords. Alternately cruise in an electric cabin cruiser along the Telemark coast and canal. Here you will experience traditional locks, narrow rivers and beautiful lakes. Family Onboard

A yacht charter holiday in Norway offers an adventure for the whole family, whatever your age. Sailing amongst some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, seeing wildlife and visiting remarkable places of historic interest. Starting your charter from Bergen, Tromso, Lofoten Islands or the Telemark Canal provides a great opportunity for families to spend quality time together whilst enjoying the great outdoors, fjords and traditional  Norwegian culture. 

Sailing with your family could not be easier. Onboard you will have everything you need for a wonderful yacht charter in Norway. Life jackets and harnesses are provided for children and all the boats are equipped with a full safety inventory. Onboard you will have heating for the cooler evenings and will be very comfortable on and below deck. The boats are fully equipped with galley and cabin inventory and you will have the ability to go ashore as often or as little as you wish, making the most of the peaceful and remote areas along with the cosmopolitan thriving cities.

Places to visit

There are many different interesting sites for families to visit on a yacht charter in Norway. From Bergen you will find a lot of well protected mooring facilities so that you can get on and off the boat as you wish. There are many small-town docks for you to tie up to and you will always find a space between anchoring and mooring. After a lovely sail, dock at Bergen and take the Ulriken Cable Car high into the mountains or take a ride on Fløibanen Funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen and once at the top you will have the most magnificent views of Bergen. The children can enjoy the large playground and the Troll Forest, a film setting for the movie Frozen which is situated at the top. Take a picnic with you and enjoy sitting at the lake at Skomakerdiket on Mount Fløyen whilst you watch the children canoe on the lake. There is a café and restaurant at the top if you prefer a full meal after a leisurely day sailing. These will be precious memories made with your family in Norway.

Telemark offers several activity parks that are for all age groups.

• Bø Sommarland is the largest water park in Scandinavia and the family will enjoy some of the biggest and thrilling water slides in Europe. With 20 different slides and swimming pools there is plenty of choice for everyone.
• The Høyt & Lavt (High and Low) Climbing Park is located at the gate to Bø Sommarland. Climb through the treetops and overcome 119 obstacles in 6 courses and a total of 18 Ziplines. The park caters for all ages and skill levels.
• Norsjø Cable Park is one of the world’s best cable track parks for wakeboarding, water skiing and knee boards. The park is suitable for beginners and professionals so that everyone can have a fun day. There is a boatyard at the park where you can leave the boat on the guest jetty for the day whilst you go to the park or you can take a berth for the evening and dine in restaurant Svilla, which has a large playground for children to enjoy.
