Hop on a luxury catamaran yacht with this El Nido private tour. This El Nido island hopping is perfect for those who want to explore some of the best beach and island destinations in El Nido as it comes with access to El Nido Yachting Club’s private beach, use of towels and life jackets, tea, coffee, the Eco-Tourism Development Fee, and entrance fees.

This tour is scheduled for 9 AM and ends at 4 PM. Accommodation pick-up is complimentary within Lio Tourism Estate, El Nido Town, Corong-Corong, and Las Cabanas . If guests stay at El Nido Resorts, Pangulasian, Miniloc, Apulit, Lagen, or Cauayan Resort, they must pay an additional cost.

You will head to the docking area to board the 50-foot Seacret Luxury sailing catamaran. Make yourself comfortable as you begin your island-hopping adventure. The itinerary for this experience depends on the day of your El Nido tour. 

If you have scheduled this tour for either Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday, you will visit Big Lagoon, Shimizu Island, Hidden Beach, and Seven Commandos Beach . Those who have their tour on either Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday will stop at Cadlao Lagoon, Helicopter Island, Small Lagoon, and Papaya Beach . 

Note that at least three destinations may be visited for each schedule, and you may not be able to visit all the sites on the list, as this will depend on the timing and the restrictions set by the Department of Tourism. But both schedules will allow guests to visit Star Beach, El Nido Yachting Club’s private beach .

It is also advisable to bring your own gear for water activities, like a snorkel and a mask, but you also have the option to rent equipment on-site. If you have booked add-on transfers, you will be dropped off at your accommodations in El Nido after the tour.

Lunch and meals are not included but you may order set-menu packages or ala carte from Cala Restaurant by Frangipani El Nido. Please bring your own snorkeling gear or equipment if you would like to do some water activities as well as your own beach or body towels. Kayak rentals and other fees or add-on activities not indicated are to be paid on-site. This tour includes a free hotel pick-up within Lio Tourism Estate, El Nido Town, Corong-Corong, Las Cabanas; a special pick-up and drop-off fee will apply for guests staying at Pangulasian, Pangulasian, Miniloc, Apulit, Lagen or Cauayan Resort. Guests who avail of the private charter may request specific islands they want to visit (around Bacuit Bay), provided they present the desired itinerary to the El Nido Yachting Club (ENYC) at least 3 days before their tour date so that ENYC can check with the Captain if the tides and weather condition permits. The operator may cancel the tour in case of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances like weather conditions. In this case, you will be given the option to reschedule or request a full refund. Note that being late by 15-30 minutes without any advice is considered a no-show. Tour cancellation requests must be made 48 hours before your scheduled tour subject to approval. El Nido Paradise on Earth

We have been in search of the most astonishing seaside for years and just recently found what we consider to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. Perfectly capturing the essence of images that come to mind when thinking of an island paradise, El Nido checks every box: idyllic landscapes, pristine waters, countless breathtaking shades of green and blue and sunny weather.

Located in the Phillipines, El Nido is situated in Palawan, in Bacuit Bay. The region remains somewhat undiscovered and you will unlikely see throngs of tourists around. The infrastructure could be a challenge, however, and a good way to overcome it is by staying at the best hotel in the region in the Pangulasian Island. A truly upscale stay in one of the few rooms scattered throughout the small private island will have you enjoying flawless hospitality and outstanding food amidst magnificent scenery. Rooms are very large and decorated in a sophisticated rustic style, wonderful. The sandy beach is just perfect for relaxing in the shade and cooling down in the calm waters, when days get hot. The hotel also offers more than one restaurant and a lovely swimming pool, which is not common in the region. The Pangulasian is also strategically located a short distance to most of the small islands and jaw-dropping spots you should visit while there.

There are some spots travelers usually miss, so take note and do not miss out: rent your own outrigger with an experienced sailor and head to Matinloc Island, spend some time at Hidden Beach, go snorkeling or scuba-diving in Tapiutan Island and admire its astonishing marine life, and stop by Cadlao before heading back to the hotel. For a day when you would rather relax under the trees or go for a swim, there is a beach club (no loud music or DJs in sight) in Entatula, with coconut tree shades, a restaurant, snorkeling and even some rock climbing if you feel like exercising. You can arrange a pick up and drop off boat transfer through your hotel concierge.

After a few days in and out of the water, in the sunshine and under tree shades, the perfect way to end your holiday is to request a dinner served on the beach. The hotel will prepare a super charming set up so that you can savor delicious freshly prepared food under the stars and by the sea. A stay at Pangulasian and the El Nido region is truly amazing and simply unforgettable, an experience we are certain you will likely love as well.

The plane takes off from a private hangar and the boarding entrance is not through the regular gates at the airport, but rather through a private one. Do plan ahead and arrive early since traffic is chaotic and pay special attention in case you have flight connections.

When to go:

The best time of the year to go to El Nido is from December to May, when temperatures and water conditions are perfect. Once there, try to go to the popular places, beaches and lagoons very early in the morning, when many are still getting ready for tours, or at lunchtime, when groups are on board having lunch. This way you will have paradise to yourselves. Ask the hotel to prepare easy snacks and sandwiches for your nourishment during the day.

Length of your stay:

If you like to take it slow and spend time relaxing on the beach we recommend a five-night stay. We did meet people who were staying only for two or three nights and, although they hurried a bit in order to make the most of their trip, they still felt the visit was well worthwhile.

Hotels in the region:

Pangulasian   : our “Top Pick”, as detailed in our text. It is the most upscale choice of stay in the region. The beach is marvelous, with lovely sand and pristine waters, service is flawless and the location is very convenient if you plan to take a boat to visit El Nido’s stunning beaches.

Manioc  : another excellent choice. Some rooms are bungalows on the water and the location is quite convenient as well. It is a good option if you are travelling with kids, since it sits on secluded lagoon with low tides and still waters.

Lagen  : the hotel is excellent as well, many rooms on stilts and facing the sea. However, it is a bit farther than the other options, so perhaps a good choice in case you do not want to move much and prefer to just spend some time relaxing at the resort.

Cómo el multimillonario propietario de Victoria’s Secret se hizo accidentalmente con una participación de 800 millones de dólares en un unicornio de IA

Una demanda revela que una apuesta temprana por la empresa que más tarde se convertiría en CoreWeave, una startup de 19.000 millones de dólares, ha convertido a Les Wexner en uno de los mayores accionistas individuales del unicornio de la IA.

Les Wexner , el multimillonario de Victoria’s Secret que renunció a su empresa L Brands en 2020 en medio del escrutinio sobre sus vínculos con el delincuente sexual convicto Jeffrey Epstein, está sacando provecho del auge de la inteligencia artificial (IA).

Gracias a una inversión inicial de un millón de dólares en Atlantic Crypto , una empresa poco conocida que se convertiría en el gigante de la IA en la nube CoreWeave, el fideicomiso familiar de este hombre de 86 años posee ahora una participación de 720 millones de dólares en una de las startups de IA más valiosas del momento. El multimillonario de Ohio es una de las personas más ricas de Estados Unidos, con una fortuna  estimada en 6.300 millones de dólares .

La enorme participación de Wexner en la startup, valorada en 19.000 millones de dólares , fue revelada en una demanda presentada ante el Tribunal de Distrito de Estados Unidos en el Distrito Sur de Nueva York en mayo de 2024 por la firma de gestión de patrimonios Florence Capital Advisors. La gestora de dinero con sede en Nueva York afirma que tenía derecho a una comisión de 6,9 millones de dólares por asesorar al fideicomiso familiar de Wexner para que invirtiera en la startup en 2019.

CoreWeave , que proporciona acceso a chips muy codiciados utilizados en la construcción de modelos de IA, se encuentra entre las startups de IA más valoradas que han surgido de la generalización de la inteligencia artificial. El gestor de dinero de Wexner, Greg Hersch, de Florence Capital, invirtió 1 millón de dólares entonces, recogiendo más tarde otros 600.000 dólares en acciones de la ronda de serie A de la empresa y doblando de nuevo a través de una nota convertible adicional. Todo ello se colocó en un fideicomiso establecido en beneficio de los cuatro hijos de Wexner: Sarah, Hannah, David y Harry.

Ahora, esas inversiones se han convertido en una participación de 720 millones de dólares en la startup de IA que, según se rumorea, busca una  oferta pública inicial  el año que viene… y una disputa legal sobre lo que parece ser un premio gordo accidental.

La disputa es un nido de ratas de las puñaladas por la espalda de las finanzas neoyorquinas que implica a un dúo de padre e hijo contratado para gestionar el dinero de Wexner después de que Jeffrey Epstein supuestamente robara 46 millones de dólares de los fideicomisos de su familia, una participación separada de 100 millones de dólares en CoreWeave realizada por un fondo de cobertura en quiebra, acusaciones de  doble inmersión  y la misteriosa desaparición de archivos que contenían registros sobre las finanzas del multimillonario.

Florence Capital niega todo esto e insiste en que se le deben unos honorarios por un asesoramiento de inversión que generó «una rentabilidad casi inimaginable del 30.986%» cuando Wexner vendió 71 millones de dólares en acciones de CoreWeave en noviembre de 2023. Esa venta, combinada con la participación restante estimada de Wexner en CoreWeave, hace que la ganancia total de la inversión sea de algo menos de 800 millones de dólares. (Wexner, Florence Capital y CoreWeave no respondieron a una solicitud de comentarios).

La inversión de Wexner en CoreWeave coincidió con una apuesta por los centros de datos que apuntalan cada vez más la ola de IA. Desde 2019, ha vendido más de  450 millones de dólares  en terrenos alrededor de su casa en New Albany, Ohio, y en el vecino condado de Licking, a gigantes tecnológicos como Google, Meta y Facebook, y a potencias de Wall Street como Blackstone, que los han utilizado para construir centros de datos masivos. Con más de 15.000 millones de dólares en inversiones previstas en centros de datos anunciados para los condados de Franklin y Licking sólo en el último año, según el organismo de control de seguimiento de subvenciones corporativas Good Jobs First, con sede en Washington D.C., Wexner está bien posicionado para acuerdos similares en el futuro. A través de su empresa de desarrollo inmobiliario, la New Albany Company, aún posee tierras de cultivo en la zona por valor de unos 850 millones de dólares, según las estimaciones  de  Forbes.

Una  investigación   de Forbes  publicada en abril esbozaba el papel crucial que Wexner desempeñó entre bastidores para llevar a New Albany una fábrica de chips de Intel valorada en 20.000 millones de dólares. El suburbio de Columbus, Ohio, pudo cerrar el trato con Intel en una competición con docenas de otros estados porque la empresa New Albany parceló un bloque de 1.000 terrenos agrícolas «listos para la pala» para lo que Intel espera que sea la mayor planta de semiconductores del mundo. Se calcula que el multimillonario obtuvo unos beneficios de 35 millones de dólares sólo con esta operación. Está en proceso de construir una urbanización de uso mixto de 400 acres adyacente al emplazamiento de Intel para alojar a sus proveedores, y todavía estaba comprando activamente más terrenos en fecha tan reciente como el 25 de julio.
