Since 1932, our members have validated their passion for yachting and boating through their Corinthian spirit – a principle the Club was built upon. With over 1,200 members, the Club offers world-class regattas, one-design racing, fine and casual dining experiences as well as live music and private events.

The Coronado Yacht Club facility has served the boating community since the early 1940s. We currently offer 250 wet slips, 79 dry slips, kayak and paddleboard racks and storage sheds. Courtesy berthing may be granted to vessels belonging to members of recognized yacht clubs when dock space is available.

The new Coronado Yacht Club was built in 1932 at the old Hotel Del Coronado boathouse. The docks were not yet built when six passionate yachtsmen began to recruit members to their exclusive up and coming club.

Over the past century the Coronado Yacht Club has been an active and crucial part of the Coronado community. The club has always focused on youth, and through their award-winning junior sailing programs thousands of children have graduated.

Opening Day weekend throughout the Coronado Yacht Club’s history has been a four-day event where members, both past and present, gather together to celebrate the beginning of the yachting season. But it’s more than that.

April 27 will be proclaimed KMAC Foundation Day in Coronado just as the KMAC Foundation for accessible sailing will be holding this year’s KMAC Regatta — an accessible regatta for Para sailors — April 26-28. The event will be on Glorietta Bay out of the Coronado Yacht Club.

The foundation works hand-in-hand with the Coronado Yacht Club (CYC) to provide accessible sailing and racing options to the disabled community here in town.
