Wow!!! What an amazing experience! Right here in Oklahoma City we have a cocktail riverboat cruise. The location is off Lincoln close to the Devon boathouse! Plenty of parking and very accessibility to riverboat. I purchased tickets online and arrived 10mins before take off. The boat wasn't crowded and seating was ample in an indoor air conditioned covered room. The bartender was at the back of the boat and drinks were inexpensive. It was a beautiful evening and everyone was friendly and courteous on the boat. Overall a great outing for me and my hubby. I'd love to come back for a girls evening out or with other couples... it was a good time!

Oklahoma River Cruises did not disappoint! It was our first experience cruising the river and definitely not our last! The Captain and First Mate were very friendly and knowledgeable. The weather was a bit gnarly but that only added to the experience. There was only one other couple besides our party of seven so social distancing wasn't a problem at all. Everyone wore masks and the boat was incredibly clean and sanitized between each cruise. It was AWESOME to watch the boat dock when they came to pick us up. The Captain and First Mate obviously work beautifully together as a team. We felt safe, we had a great time, learned some fun and interesting Oklahoma River facts and we're pleased with the value of the experience. We'll be back!!
There is nothing to see, especially in the dark, along the River. Crew was very nice. It was just so boring. Save your money.
Nice evening cocktail cruise along the Oklahoma River, catching the sunset as we drink and relax.

We had a fantastic time. The crew was very friendly! I would suggest buying alcohol in bulk and loading up the boat more because I heard other cruises ran out of alcohol. But ours didn't!
I love everything abouy the oklahoma river cruise. #okrivercruises. This is something nice for oklahomans and for out of town guest. Its super affordable and something cool to do. Most times the boats aren't really crowded. I love that there is a bar. Hard Liquior is sold at night. But during the dat you can still get beers, wine and or margaritas. Ive been about 15 times. I have yet to do the full one from Bricktown to meridian. Manley because its hard to get a full return. Mothers day had free rides for mothers. My mom really enjoyed herself. This weekend had a lot of kids running and playing though. Typically its adults on the rides. They do feature children's rides with activities. Just be mindful of the return times online. You can purchase tickets once on board. Staff & captin always friendly & knowledgeable during the cruise.
Wow. Color me impressed. I checked this out on Wednesday just to figure out what it was all about. They do several different things here. I just hopped on with a friend to ride down from Regatta Park (boathouse district) to Exchange District (Meridian/ I-40 area) for a fun little afternoon diversion. Clocking in at 1.5 hours, it was a great way to do something different in the middle of the afternoon, but the daily rides are really more like ferry service. Think very nice bus that travels through water. Mine was really a fact-finding mission, but I needed to see it to understand it. Oklahoma River Boat Cruises is really a handful of things. Four to be exact: ferry service, private charter, sunset cruise, themed cruise. In addition to the aforementioned ferry service, you can also charter the boats for private parties. I looked over the prices for everything, and it's cool because it really is the same as renting a private room somewhere for a party. The boat is the venue. You still get to select your catering options, decide if you want alcohol and if so, do you want to pay for all (host bar) of it or do you want individuals to pay (cash bar). Like most venues, they can do both. Under this option, you can also add A/V, live music, decorations, flowers and more. I'm seeing this a really fun engagement party, big birthday party, or a more private alternative to your standard high school or college reunion. Prices vary, but again, comparable to renting a room/ballroom/venue for a special event, but this room floats down the river. Geeks Rule the World HS reunion. Done. If you're not in the market for planning a private party right now, you can always do a specialty or themed cruise. July = Disco, August = Luau, September = Karaoke. Um, hello, a karaoke cruise? Can someone please tell me what is not to love? Okay, if you aren't presently trying to figure out which freaking weekend in September you can do a karaoke cruise, while I struggle to understand you, the nice folks at Oklahoma River Cruises have another option for you. You can do the basic, relaxing, sunset cruise. This is $29/person and includes a 1.5 hour sunset cruise, cash bar, snacks, comp sodas. I imagine it is pretty relaxing, pretty chill, and pretty beautiful. I think if I ever had any mild-mannered guests in town, we might try and do this. I don't know any, but someday I may. It does seem like a relaxing thing to do, especially if you're charged with planning a fun itinerary. They are very professional, the boats are new, clean, and feel very safe. The crew is all Coast Guard certified and they run everyone through a security briefing. I saw a heron eat a bird, and enjoyed the commentary from the captain of all the cool new things to see and do along the river.

This is the way to enjoy the Oklahoma River! It's great to be able to experience the city from a different perspective and enjoy a relaxing night out on the ship. We went with the Yelp crowd as well and had fantastic time. The crew was friendly, the ship had enough room for us to move around, and it had the right amount of air conditioned (thank goodness) space if you wanted to dodge the heat. I love the fact that you can use the river cruises for a water taxi, a chartered party boat, and everything in between. Definitely worth a look.
Great cruise! Took the cocktail cruise with friends. The ride itself was fun! Very relaxing and great for the occasion. Only three stars because, for a cocktail cruise, they have a very limited number of drink options and were out of most of the things on their menu! The margaritas came from a can and weren't worth $7. Will go again for the ride but not the drinks

Riversport OKC – Class-VI family fun right in downtown!
While the rapids only get to Class-III (for mortals like you and me), the adventure gets up to VI at Riversport OKC ! This world-class rafting and kayaking facility is the signature attraction in Oklahoma City’s Boathouse District and gives guests the chance to experience real whitewater right near downtown and the Oklahoma River.
Riversport Adventure Parks, along with the Oklahoma City Boathouse Foundation and other partners, have teamed up to bring this incredible urban adventure to Oklahoma City, and we can say that it’s a must-do for any family visiting OKC. Not only is Riversport the place in OKC for a wild ride, it’s also an official US Olympic & Paralympic Training Site for kayaking, flatwater, rowing, and canoe. They’ve done an incredible job with this facility, and we love it!
In addition to the amazing rafting, they have a zip line, slides, gravity ropes, and so much more to explore. After having spent the past few summers paddling and climbing around, here’s our complete guide on having maximum fun during your visit to Riversport OKC.

Adventure pass.
RIVERSPORT Pass
For adventures on the water in addition to land, the RIVERSPORT Pass is for you. You get all the fun of the Adventure Pass plus RIVERSPORT Rapids whitewater rafting, tubing and river boarding, plus flatwater adventures in the Boathouse District.
For ala carte options or season passes, Riversport has a pass for you. Check out all the options here. Tip: If you're only doing one rafting trip, you may want to book an afternoon time and spend the morning exploring the SandRidge Sky Trail, Sky Slides, Rumble Drop, etc., first. When you're done, you'll be ready to beat the afternoon heat on the river.
When you arrive at Riversport OKC
Fill out your waivers.
After you park, head inside and find the tablets along the wall where you will fill out your waivers. Everyone will need one. If you have the kids with you, one adult can add the kids to their waiver while the other parent fills out their own. Once you’re done will all the legal stuff, hop in line to get your passes.
Grab your wristbands and locker key(s)
Once you’ve decided on a pass, you may want a locker for the day, which is handy and keeps you from having to go out to the parking lot to get your stuff. There are larger lockers available in the restrooms or smaller ones along the wall in the lobby.
If you have an afternoon rafting time and don’t want to wear a swimsuit all day, a locker is a good option, and you can change in the locker room before your rafting time.
Go have some fun!
Our kids love zipping down the slides which are some of the tallest anywhere. After you work up a sweat, cool off at the splash pad or with a cup of Dippin’ Dots® (our fave!).
What to expect on your rafting adventure with Riversport
Safety is a priority.
Before every trip, experienced guides explain how to have a safe trip. This includes how to properly use your gear, what to expect on the water, and what to do if you or a raft mate falls out of the boat. For parents, this is obviously super-important, and the staff does a very good job of demonstrating and making everyone comfortable.
It’s really fun!
If you have some apprehension about your trip, that’s OK. Our kids were 11 and 13 the first time we did it, and they did great. In fact, we went to Durango, CO, not long after to raft the Animas River, and our guide there was impressed with how we worked together thanks to the training we received at Riversport OKC. Have fun with it! Embrace the adventure, and trust your guide. They’re excellent and professional.
There are two courses and you’ll get three runs total
Your guide will explain the difference between the two courses, and on the third go-around, you’ll get to pick which you would like to finish with. They are both fun with slightly different features to keep things interesting.
Class III+ is about as high as they go (for average guests)
Although this is an Olympic Training Center where they can really crank up the water and obstacles, Class-III rapids are generally what you’ll be dealing with. There are also some nice calm areas to regroup before you go again. Read more about the different classes of rapids here. In short, there is enough whitewater to be really fun without too much danger involved. Just right.
You will get wet!
This may be obvious, but I want to be clear: you will get wet.
Probably soaked .
Your hairdo will not survive, so just go with it. If your guide decides to do a little river surfing (totally fun BTW), you’ll get lots of water coming up and into the raft – perfect for beating the heat in summer.
Essential information for a visit to Riversport OKC
What to wear to Riversport OKC
Important! You may wear water shoes, sandals, or open-toed shoes, but they must have a heel strap and stay securely fastened. No flip flops allowed . Swim suits are perfect for rafting or kayaking adventures, but you will need to change into shorts and a shirt for the land adventures. Some of these require a harness, and it’s best to have some proper clothing for that.
Items that you should leave in the car or a locker
If you don’t want to lose it, don’t take it. Phones, car keys, glasses, sunglasses, hats – all of it should probably stay. Take your jewelry and valuables off also.
Parking at Riversport OKC
Parking is $5. You’ll need to display your ticket on your dash, but you can come and go as you please. During our most recent visit, we left to pop over to downtown for some lunch and then came back.
There is plenty of food and snacks available
Even though we left for lunch, you could stay all day and enjoy food and snacks at the Big Water Grill, which has a good selection of salads, burgers, fish tacos, and more. For us, it was Icees® all the way.
Weather may affect your day
It’s possible that even though the weather is clear, high winds can affect the Sky Trail and Zip Line. Be aware of the conditions before your visit and plan accordingly.
OKC’s #BoathouseDistrict is just the beginning
While the whitewater rafting may be the rockstar, Riversport Adventures also has water sports and activities at Lake Overholser and at Lake Hefner . Check them out for even more fun on the water.
Log on to get photos after your trip
Once you get home, head over to Riversportokc.org/photos to see photos from your trip. Their photographers do a great job of capturing the fun, and you can download all the photos digitally for an affordable price or pick and choose the ones you want. I’ve put a few our ours in this post.

Bo, thanks for commenting.
It’s unfortunate that you had such a bad experience. We’ve been twice, and I did come out of the raft once, but because of the training they gave us, I was able to get back in safely. Our guides have always been top-notch, and I would argue that this experience is safer than rafting out ‘in the wild’ which we have done several times as well.
As with all adventure sports, it’s necessary to weigh the risks involved and decide whether it’s right for you and your family or not. I’m glad that everything turned out OK for you.
Safe travels,

The Boathouse District along the Oklahoma River offers some of Oklahoma City’s more popular ways to spend time outdoors, enjoy views of the downtown skyline and get active. Located within walking distance of the hotels and restaurants of the Bricktown Entertainment District , the Boathouse District is the focal point for OKC RIVERSPORT ’s rowing, kayaking, running, cycling and fitness programs.
Visitors can rent kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and water bicycles and check out dragon boating. They can zip across the Oklahoma River and back on the SandRidge SkyZip or climb the six-story SandRidge Sky Trail and Slide, an 80-foot adventure course to be climbed while safely fastened in with a harness. Getting down requires sliding down the Sky Slide or dropping via the Rumble Drop.
RIVERSPORT Rapids , the 11-acre whitewater rafting and kayaking center, opened in May 2016. This state-of-the-art aquatic adventure facility is geared for both family fun and elite athlete training, adding even more outdoor recreation opportunities to the list.
The Youth Zone packs in plenty of adventure for the younger set – the Sky Tykes adventure course, the Cloud Bounce, a miniature zip line and the Extreme Air bungee. The Boathouse District playground is free. Be sure to wear close-toed shoes in order to enjoy these activities.
Newest River Bandit Caglianone hits one into river

After setting the single-season (35) and career (75) home run records at Florida this year, it was a matter of time before Jac Caglianone brought his light-tower power to the Minors.
He just didn't draw up his first professional home run looking like this.
The sixth overall pick in July's Draft by the Royals, Caglianone crushed a grand slam off a position player -- infielder Jose Acosta -- in the eighth inning of High-A Quad Cities' 13-2 win over Wisconsin at Modern Woodmen Park on Saturday night.
The 6-foot-5 slugger, who is expected to slot into the top half of MLB Pipeline's updated Top 100 Prospects list next week, actually swung and missed at the first offering of the at-bat and fouled off a pair of pitches while working a full count. But after finally getting a pitch in the zone, Caglianone hammered it at a reported 109 mph into the Mississippi River.
"My first swing was absolutely terrible," Caglianone said. "Having to mentally lock in, that it's still a game. I'm not trying to take the swing off. But after that, a good result came from it. It was a cheap one. I'm not really counting it, to be honest with you."
Yup, we could get used to this. 🤩 No. 1️⃣ was GRAND! #BanditTogether 🦝 pic.twitter.com/IbGXkNL56L — Quad Cities River Bandits (@QCRiverBandits) August 11, 2024
Perhaps there's some irony that Caglianone, who has been college baseball's premier two-way player the past two years, hit his first pro roundtripper off an infielder. The Royals, for what it's worth, plan to have him focus solely on hitting the rest of the season -- he threw 73 2/3 innings with the Gators in 2024 -- before he resumes playing both ways next year.
Acosta wasn't throwing it particularly hard, but the right-hander would pause his leg lift and mess around with his delivery. It was unlike anything the Tampa native saw during three seasons in the SEC.
"That was the first time for me," Caglianone said. "So it was comical to start just because that's just how it is when they bring in a position guy who's got the funky delivery. The game feels not like a game, it feels like you're in the backyard. Kind of reminding myself that it's still a game and it's still an at-bat that counts really helped me and got the result that it did."
📩 CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE TO BEN'S BIZ
Just four games into his tenure with the River Bandits, Caglianone knows that that first "real" home run will come before long.
"I'm just going to keep attacking each day as a new day and just take everything pitch by pitch," Caglianone said, "and eventually when it does come, I'll savor it a little bit more."
