Boat: Watkins 32 | does an Endeavour 37 or 38 have? I am 6'5" tall and, contrary to a lot of posts I have seen, this is an important consideration to me. Also how do the headliners hold up? |

on a 37/38 footer... The 37 had full 6 ft. Possibly 6.6 down the center. I had many comments to this point from people stepping aboard and noticing the headroom. I'm 5'11". never had any flaws and our E37 was a 1979/1980. I believe I have only been aboard one E38. Their aren't many compared to the 37. I believe the structure is different and closer to 5ft deep making it a slightly better pointing as a result. layout is totally different as the was of a different . Much of the same systems and throughout the two of them. | |

Boat: Watkins 32 | to the side down below). I am planning to go cruising in about 5 years and am looking for the boat I want, so far it is between a and an Endeavour 37/38cc. I guess the Tayana still has the lead dlauginiger P.S. BTW, I live on a Watkins 32/33 and amazingly it has 6'6" of headroom (that's why I bought it). |

Boat: Gulfstar 50 | boat. The E 37 and the Tayana 37 are nothing like the lay out of the E38. While they are both good more info about why you like the E38 would help, but I would guess it's the aft stateroom. If so you would get better response if you listed desired size, , aft or center layouts etc |

Boat: Endeavour 42 | on it for 1 1/2 years, all the way to and back. We're going back in a couple of years, probably to the Western Carib. The boat performed impecably and was extremly comfortable. Re an E-38, I was on one once. To me it appeared to be a shortened version of the E-40. I'm not a configuration works well on a boat less than about 40 feet. For my , I'd look at the E-40. There's a lot more living space, there were a whole lot more built than the 38's-thus a better selection- and many of them are priced relatively cheaply, due in part to the fact that they require a lot of maintence-primarily because of the extensive teak-which many owners have neglected. Bottom line-you get a lot of boat for the . Furthermore, you're getting a boat abundantly capable of Carribbean/Gulf sailing (wouldn't recommend Cape Horn though-for that get the Tayana 37). Anyway, my 2 cents. Cptn happy |

A boat with a BN of 1.6 or greater is a boat that will be reefed often in offshore cruising. Derek Harvey, "Multihulls for Cruising and Racing", International Marine, Camden, Maine, 1991, states that a BN of 1 is generally accepted as the dividing line between so-called slow and fast multihulls.

Posts: 1. Endeavours. Hello! I have sailed and lived aboard a 1985 Endeavour 38cc for about 3.5 years on Lake Texoma about 60mi north of Dallas.
