Samara Description
A rare find of luxury yacht combined with sporty/ adventurous qualities which stands out head and shoulders above other monohull and catamaran hull yachts of this size. From bow to stern, guests cannot truly imagine the comfort, quality and spaciousness of SAMARA until stepping aboard. Named after the ´winged seed of the Sycamore tree´, this yacht was built to glide effortlessly, efficiently and steadily over long distances, in shallow waters thanks to a minimum draft. Packed with innovative features such as solar power technology and cork decks while also catering to the most adventurous or laid back cruisers, every type of guest will appreciate what this yacht has to offer. The volume is remarkable with 4000 square feet aboard - beyond that of larger monohulls and attributed to her 31’ beam versus the typical 20’. Stepping aboard the AFT DECK, there is an extra large al fresco dining area, well sheltered (plus eisinglass enclosure optional) alongside a full barbeque grill to starboard. Enjoy a cocktail or coffee at the full bar to starboard side or just appreciate the view. Entering the MAIN SALON brings everything to life with open plan galley and bar stools to starboard and the welcoming lounge area to port. Concealed overhead is the 55´ TV transforming this area for movie night or morning news while at the galley bar. There is easy access to a bayhead on this level just forward of the lounge as well. Make your way amidship forward into a cozy sunken, second lounge situated a few steps down from the main salon. A romantic fire place feature here on a blustery evening makes this lounge very inviting. A true sanctuary on the main deck is the forward facing MASTER suite with open plan from port to starboard bringing in the gorgeous views and natural light of outdoors, inside as well. To port is the ensuite Master bathroom with double sinks featuring designer waterfall taps, private toilet and stall shower. To starboard is a walk-in wardrobe with drawers and hanging closet. Storage is ample throughout. A private glass door leads forward onto the Jacuzzi deck serving as a full Owner´s deck and offers privacy with the subtle wrap around of superstructure design on both sides. Large petal-shaped loungers invited guests to relax in the sun or curl up and read a book in privacy. Forward below deck in the port and starboard hulls guests will find the comfort of two Queen staterooms, each en suite with spacious showers, toilet and ample storage in two closets and cabinetry. Aft in the starboard hull 2-3 more guests can find accommodation in a double bed with pullman bunk, also with en suite facilities. Moving up to the SUN DECK during the day is akin to stepping into a private garden in an exclusive villa. Two custom cabanas easily offer comfort to 3 adults each with shade as desired overhead and around. If more sun is preferred, two chaise and two comfortable bean bags can be positioned where guests wish. A ‘jump seat’ sunpad situated in front of the helm on this level also provides the best view from above. The grassy texture covering this deck is soothing and non-slip underfoot while also giving an ‘island’ feel. As the moon rises, this deck transforms to a whole new experience of its own. Whether experiencing movie night with the oversized cinema in position or an elegant dinner under the stars, this is the most favored space aboard by most. Not to forget the area where the most action occurs, the SWIM PLATFORM. A hydraulic center stage secures the wave runners when under way and once lowered, this level is the easy access deck for a variety of water activities, water toys, boarding the tender, and swim entry. Transform this area with chairs and inflatable cushions for the perfect BEACH CLUB. Each hull also offers a set of steps and a swim ladder for water access.

This was our first ever yacht charter but thanks to our experience on the Samara it certainly won’t be our last. Two families of four chartered this luxurious and spacious yacht for one week. We planned to depart from Athens, travel south to the Cyclades, visit several islands, and disembark in Santorini. We were given a very warm welcome upon boarding, with a beautifully presented light lunch and cold champagne. We then set sail out of Athens harbor to our first anchoring point near the island of Spetses where we enjoyed our first of seven amazing sunsets and even more amazing meals. After our first evening, the captain informed us that the wind was picking up near the Cyclades. He said it would not be dangerous and we could still proceed, but it would be a bumpier ride when traveling, and the water could also be choppier when at anchor. Captain Lev was aware that we wanted to enjoy our time in the water and use the water toys as much as possible. The Captain was very communicative from the start. He recommended staying close by for another day to see if the wind would die down and if not, we could modify our plans and visit islands not on the original itinerary. We put our trust in the extremely competent Captain Lev and visited some of the most beautiful, unspoiled spots we could ever have imagined. Meanwhile, Tria made sure to “wow’ us daily - not only with the presentation but with the amazing flavors of spectacular dishes prepared from fresh, delicious local produce. We have some early risers and some late sleepers in our group but whatever time we woke up Tria and Annet were there with a smile and an amazing variety of breakfast options. Tria also communicated with us daily making suggestions such as a lighter lunch because of a bigger dinner, or vice versa. Our boys discovered an octopus while spearfishing and Tria, always eager to please, dove down to show us how to properly catch and humanely kill what would be a nice addition to our final dinner! Christos spent lots of time ensuring that our four (20-something-year-old) “boys’ were kept busy. He was up early every morning preparing the many water toys and cheering on the participants in their endeavors. He was the steady arm we would lean on when getting in and out of the tender and he would drive us back and forth to various islands no matter the time of night. Like all on board, he wore many hats and was eager to show off his bartending abilities and mastery of the grill. Christos even shared some of his personal food, as one night we had an amazing meal -- Kokoretsi sausage which came from his village! Annet kept us endlessly amazed at the beautiful table settings which changed for every meal. She took great pride and put a lot of effort into not only setting the tables but also making most of the decorative items on display. She kept our beautiful cabins spotless and our glasses filled. Nothing was too much trouble. In short, this crew worked together to ensure that our trip was one that we will remember forever. Each one of them added a “special-something” to the week. From Captain Lev’s quiet confidence and professionalism to Tria’s enthusiasm and obvious passion for what he does, Annet’s attention to detail and sense of humor, and Christos’s love for and knowledge of all things Greek. We’ll never forget the crew of the Samara or the very special week they gave us!

An amazing and one-of-a-kind luxury catamaran yacht of 24.38 metres (80’), built by Pachoud in 2015 and refitted in 2019. SAMARA offers her 8 guests modern and luxurious interiors over four cabins and fabulous deck areas. She has a crew of 4 on board.
NOTABLE FEATURES OF SAMARA: ~ Foredeck Jacuzzi ~Sundeck helipad ~Non-slip grassy texture on the sundeck ~Spacious main deck master suite ~Solar power technology installed ~Large selection of water toys ~Air conditioning ~Wi-Fi
Along the stern there is access to the water via a ladder down each hull as well as the hydraulic swim platform, which stores the jet skis while cruising.
The main deck aft offers a sizeable alfresco dining area with custom burl maple dining table to port and a barbeque grill to starboard along with a full bar to serve coffee or cocktails.
The foredeck is accessible by the side walkways or directly from the Master suite and is furnished with a raised central Jacuzzi to seat six and sunbeds in the forward port and starboard corners for resting in privacy in the sunshine.
The sundeck doubles as a helipad when clear of furnishings, and is covered in a grassy texture that is designed to be non-slip underfoot. Two custom cabanas for up to three adults are placed along the stern, while the two chaise-loungers and bean bags can be moved wherever guests please. A 'jump seat' sunbed is placed forward of the helm station for the best views on boast and tranquillity away from other guests while sunbathing.
Since her refit in 2019, luxury yacht SAMARA now sports a sundeck cinema with surround sound, and newly installed safety and entertainment systems throughout.
The lower deck hulls host the guest and crew accommodation, with plenty of room in both sterns for storing the large collection of water toys as well as bikes and other equipment.
On the main deck, the generous Master suite is placed forward and from within guests have direct access to the foredeck, furnished with a Jacuzzi and sofa-sunbeds. Immediately behind the Master suite is the sunken lounge, smaller and cosier than the main salon aft and furnished with a sofa-lounger and a fireplace for atmospheric autumnal evenings.
The aft social area places the lounge to port with a 55" TV concealed in the ceiling when not in use, and the open galley to starboard, which has a bar-like setting with stools.

SAMARA Yacht Charter
Samara yacht description.
Named after the "winged seed of the Sycamore tree", this yacht was built to glide effortlessly, efficiently and steadily over long distances, in shallow waters thanks to a minimum draft. Packed with innovative features such as solar power technology and cork decks while also catering to the most adventurous or laid back cruisers, every type of guest will appreciate what this yacht has to offer. The volume is remarkable with 4000 square feet aboard – beyond that of larger monohulls and attributed to her 31’ beam versus the typical 20’. Concealed overhead is the 55" TV transforming this area for movie night or morning news while at the galley bar. A private glass door leads forward onto the Jacuzzi deck serving as a full Owner's deck and offers privacy with the subtle wrap around of superstructure design on both sides. A hydraulic center stage secures the wave runners when under way and once lowered, this level is the easy access deck for choice of SCUBA DIVING, water toys, boarding the tender and swim entry. Transform this area with chairs and inflatable cushions for the perfect BEACH CLUB. Each hull also offers a set of steps and a swim ladder for water access.

- wpcf_accommodation: A rare find of thoughtfully designed, multi-level (full guest use) luxury yacht combined with sporty, adventurous qualities which stands out head and shoulders above other monohull and catamaran hull yachts of this size. From bow to stern, guests cannot truly imagine the comfort, quality and spaciousness of SAMARA until stepping aboard. The volume is remarkable with 4000 square feet aboard – equivalent to larger monohulls and attributed to her 31’ beam versus the typical 20’.

Stepping aboard the AFT DECK, there is an extra large al fresco dining area, well sheltered (plus isinglass enclosure optional) alongside a full barbeque grill to starboard. Enjoy a cocktail or coffee at the full bar to starboard side or just appreciate the view. Entering the MAIN SALON brings everything to life with open plan galley and bar stools to starboard and the welcoming lounge area to port. Concealed overhead is the 55" TV transforming this area for movie night or morning news while at the galley bar. There is easy access to a day head on this level just forward of the lounge as well.

A private glass door leads forward onto the Jacuzzi deck serving as a full Owner's deck and offers privacy with the subtle wrap around of superstructure design on both sides.

A ‘jumpseat’ sunpad situated in front of the helm on this level also provides the best view from above.

From bow to stern, guests cannot truly imagine the comfort, quality and spaciousness of SAMARA until stepping aboard.

A private glass door leads forward onto the Jacuzzi deck serving as a full Owner's deck and offers privacy with the subtle wrap around of superstructure design on both sides.

A ‘jumpseat’ sunpad situated in front of the helm on this level also provides the best view from above.

We planned to depart
from Athens, travel south to the Cyclades, visit several islands, and disembark in Santorini.
We were given a very warm welcome upon boarding, with a beautifully presented light lunch and cold
champagne. We then set sail out of Athens harbor to our first anchoring point near the island of Spetses
where we enjoyed our first of seven amazing sunsets and even more amazing meals. After our first
evening, the captain informed us that the wind was picking up near the Cyclades. He said it would not
be dangerous and we could still proceed, but it would be a bumpier ride when traveling, and the water
could also be choppier when at anchor. Captain Lev was aware that we wanted to enjoy our time in the
water and use the water toys as much as possible. The Captain was very communicative from the start.
He recommended staying close by for another day to see if the wind would die down and if not, we
could modify our plans and visit islands not on the original itinerary. We put our trust in the extremely
competent Captain Lev and visited some of the most beautiful, unspoiled spots we could ever have
imagined.
Meanwhile, Tria made sure to “wow’ us daily - not only with the presentation but with the amazing
flavors of spectacular dishes prepared from fresh, delicious local produce. We have some early risers
and some late sleepers in our group but whatever time we woke up Tria and Annet were there with a
smile and an amazing variety of breakfast options. Tria also communicated with us daily making
suggestions such as a lighter lunch because of a bigger dinner, or vice versa. Our boys discovered an
octopus while spearfishing and Tria, always eager to please, dove down to show us how to properly
catch and humanely kill what would be a nice addition to our final dinner!
Christos spent lots of time ensuring that our four (20-something-year-old) “boys’ were kept busy. He
was up early every morning preparing the many water toys and cheering on the participants in their
endeavors. He was the steady arm we would lean on when getting in and out of the tender and he
would drive us back and forth to various islands no matter the time of night. Like all on board, he wore
many hats and was eager to show off his bartending abilities and mastery of the grill. Christos even
shared some of his personal food, as one night we had an amazing meal -- Kokoretsi sausage which
came from his village!
Annet kept us endlessly amazed at the beautiful table settings which changed for every meal. She took
great pride and put a lot of effort into not only setting the tables but also making most of the decorative
items on display. She kept our beautiful cabins spotless and our glasses filled. Nothing was too much
trouble.
In short, this crew worked together to ensure that our trip was one that we will remember forever. Each
one of them added a “special-something” to the week. From Captain Lev’s quiet confidence and
professionalism to Tria’s enthusiasm and obvious passion for what he does, Annet’s attention to detail
and sense of humor, and Christos’s love for and knowledge of all things Greek. We’ll never forget the
crew of the Samara or the very special week they gave us!";s:10:"yachtGC2P1";s:0:"";s:10:"yachtGC2P2";s:0:"";s:10:"yachtGC2P3";s:0:"";s:15:"yachtInsCompany";s:0:"";s:11:"yachtPolicy";s:0:"";s:14:"yachtLiability";s:0:"";s:18:"yachtEffectiveDate";s:0:"";s:17:"yachtContractName";s:0:"";s:20:"yachtContractAddress";s:0:"";s:18:"yachtCoverageAreas";s:0:"";s:12:"yachtInsFlag";s:0:"";s:16:"yachtInsHomeport";s:0:"";s:11:"yachtRegNum";s:0:"";s:14:"yachtConPhone1";s:0:"";s:14:"yachtConPhone2";s:0:"";s:14:"yachtConPhone3";s:0:"";s:11:"yachtConFax";s:0:"";s:17:"yachtWaveConEmail";s:0:"";s:13:"yachtConOther";s:0:"";s:12:"yachtManager";s:17:"FYLY YACHTING Ltd";s:16:"yachtManagerName";s:15:"Barbara Gabriel";s:17:"yachtManagerPhone";s:13:"+302109858670";s:16:"yachtManagerToll";s:0:"";s:17:"yachtManagerEmail";s:14:"[email protected]";}

From bow to stern, guests cannot truly imagine the comfort, quality and spaciousness of SAMARA until stepping aboard.

Concealed overhead is the 55" TV transforming this area for movie night or morning news while at the galley bar.

A private glass door leads forward onto the Jacuzzi deck serving as a full Owner's deck and offers privacy with the subtle wrap around of superstructure design on both sides.

Advertised by DMA Yachting, the breathtaking charter yacht SAMARA is a 77 ft motor yacht featuring a jetski. Most expenses are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), a fund that is added on top of the charter price. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled). The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.">Price Terms: Plus Expenses

Explorer catamaran motor yacht Samara for sale
The 24 metre catamaran motor yacht Samara has been jointly listed for sale by Mark Elliott at IYC and Ben Doggett at Aquasitions.
Built by New Zealand yard Pachoud to a design by Scott Jutson , Samara was delivered in 2016 to owners who wished to cruise with or without crew, and is therefore almost entirely self-sufficient. An interior in light surfaces and pastel shades by Sylvia Bolton accommodates eight guests in four cabins comprising a full-beam master suite on the main deck, two doubles and a twin, all with entertainment centres, television screens and en-suite bathroom facilities. Two further cabins can sleep up to four crewmembers aboard this yacht for sale .
The large open-plan main saloon serves as the heart of the yacht and cleverly blends a design suited for entertaining, including a 55-inch television screen, with the required practicalities of living on board long term.
The ability to carry a helicopter is a major asset for a yacht of this size, allowing easy access to the yacht night and day, and Samara ’s asking price includes a Robinson R44 helicopter.
For ease of landing, the radar arch slides forward, the landing pad slides out and the guard rails fold down, creating an easily accessible helicopter deck that can also serve as a sunbathing area when required.
Power comes from a pair of 800hp MAN R6 engines, which can deliver a maximum cruising range in excess of 2,500 nautical miles from the 14,000 litre fuel tank.
Samara is asking $7,000,000, including her helicopter.

Yacht with 1,000 rounds of ammunition and fireworks burns in Marina del Rey
- Copy Link URL Copied!
Marina del Rey’s harbor produced an unexpected light show Wednesday evening as a luxury yacht loaded with ammunition and fireworks burned for more than two hours before flames were extinguished, authorities said.
Flames leaped 20 to 30 feet from the 100-foot vessel, dubbed the Admiral, while live ammunition rounds could be heard firing from the boat, according to videos from the scene .
Thursday morning, the charred yacht was lying on its side, and the water around it was tinted red from the diesel fuel dumped from the vessel. A Coast Guard spokesperson said an estimated 4,000 gallons of diesel was dumped into the water. The total is not official as monitoring continues.
Los Angeles County Fire Department officials said two passengers aboard the boat exited safely. No information was available about the cause of the blaze.
An L.A. County Fire spokesperson said one individual suffered minor injuries, was treated at the scene and was released.
A deadly crash on a Long Beach sunset cruise. Then, the fight to save survivors
The boat, traveling at a high speed, crashed into the jetty near its slip, killing a man. It would have been much worse, if not for the quick thinking of a passenger.
Aug. 8, 2024
Firefighters responded to a call around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and eventually knocked out the flames at 10:33 p.m. The boat was declared fully submerged at 11:33 p.m.
The yacht’s owner, who was not identified, told fire officials that the vessel was carrying 1,000 rounds of ammunition and fireworks.
U.S. Coast Guard personnel confirmed they were on the scene evaluating cleanup options.

The fire was reported shortly after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at 211 Basin A, where flames engulfed the multi-level, 100-foot boat, the agency said.
Residents in the area said they heard multiple explosions resonating throughout the harbor as yacht was consumed by flames. Fire officials said two people were able to get off the boat uninjured.
Fire crews poured water onto the burning vessel, which later sank into the harbor.
An environmental hazard team was expected to arrive in Marina del Rey Thursday to assist with the cleanup of the burned vessel.
A United States Coast Guard Incident Management Team from Sector Los Angeles-Long Beach is monitoring the cleanup efforts, according to the Coast Guard, which said that the yacht "caught fire and discharged red-dye diesel."
"The fire did not appear to damage any other vessels in the harbor," the USCG said in a statement Thursday. "The Coast Guard is working with Patriot Environmental Services and Clean Harbors organizations to contain and recover the discharge from the yacht."
The yacht's fuel capacity was reported to be 6,000 gallons, according to the Coast Guard. Crews from California Department of Fish and Wildlife's Office of Spill Prevention and Response and the L.A. County Sheriff's Department are also assisting in the efforts.
The Oiled Wildlife Care Network was also notified and was on standby for wildlife response. "No observations of oiled wildlife have been reported at this time," the Coast Guard said Thursday morning. "For your safety and the safety of the animals, do not attempt to capture oiled animals." Witnesses were urged to report oiled wildlife to (877) 823-6926.
