We ordered a Jeanneau NC 895 through Sundance. The factory itself is working through production volume issues which resulted in a delay of 8 - 10 weeks. Sundance more than made up for the delays through service and concessions. When we outgrow the 895 we'll be back at Sundance for the 1095. We worked with Andrew as our sales associate, and he was very responsive to all of our quires and needs.

Down to earth people and very nice yachts.

We purchased a Cutwater from Sundance Yachts, after looking at boats for a year. We met Michael and Ken at the Seattle boat show. Their knowledge, professionalism and personalities stood out above all the rest! Then, delivery of the boat and the Sundance Customer Experience gave us an overall and firsthand knowledge that it’s not just the sales department, it’s the entire Sundance team that makes this company and customer support soar above the rest! We felt like we were the most important customers they have ever had. No matter how busy they were, our phone calls, requests and inquiries were always attended to immediately (as new boat owners, we had a lot of questions!). 1 man found dead, 2 still missing after boat crashes into jetty

OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) - Officials say one man was found dead and two others are missing after a boat crashed into a jetty in Connecticut.

The Coast Guard says a boat carrying nine people crashed into a jetty along the Connecticut River at high speed. The call was received around 9 p.m. Monday, WFSB reports .

Investigators believe the group was returning from a day trip to Block Island and are all local to the Old Saybrook area.

A single motorboat was found, half-submerged, near the Harbor One Marina in Old Saybrook. There was significant damage to the boat.

The boat was pulled from the river late Tuesday morning, and firefighters responded to a fuel leak that was cleaned up.

Six people – a man and five women, whose ages range from mid-20s to 30s – were rescued. They were all taken to the hospital and later released.

Authorities began searching for three missing men, who were reportedly not wearing life jackets.

One of the missing men was found dead during the search early Tuesday, according to officials with the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

The search for the two remaining victims, both in their 20s, continued Tuesday. Crews utilized sonar technology in a search effort, with five boats scouring the waters around the crash site.

Authorities are investigating various factors, including currents, tides, wind direction and the boat’s GPS data to determine the boat’s speed and conditions leading up to the crash.

The boat has been towed to the DEEP office in Old Lyme for further analysis.

Guilford’s dive team responded, along with boats, personnel and ambulances from nearby towns, working to locate and assist the missing persons.

The Coast Guard also sent a helicopter from Cape Cod to assist search efforts.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office has been searching since Sunday for a 34-year-old woman who fell from a boat into the Willamette River near Molalla River State Park outside of Canby.

A 911 call for a water rescue at 5:15 p.m. activated a response involving the Clackamas County Water Rescue Consortium and several other agencies. Responders from the Canby Fire District were the first to arrive, according to a news release. The Canby Police Department, the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office and water rescue swimmers from American Medical Response also assisted.

Searchers deployed multiple resources in addition to several boats on the water, sheriffs officials said. Divers from the Sheriff’s Office and the Lake Oswego Fire Department deployed in the river and agencies also used drones to search from the air.

Searchers were unable to locate the woman Sunday and the search was suspended at nightfall. The Sheriff’s Office resumed the search for the missing woman Monday. Law enforcement officials have not released the identity of the woman.

SKOWHEGAN — Beer lovers from around the country are expected to head to Skowhegan on Saturday for the town’s annual Labor Day weekend brew festival.

The Skowhegan Craft Brew Festival is set to feature more than 100 Maine-made craft beers, wines, ciders and spirits from 24 beverage producers, along with local food vendors and four musical acts, according to an announcement from the event’s organizer, the nonprofit organization Main Street Skowhegan.

The festival, which began in 2016, is expected to draw people from Maine, 13 other states and Canada, according to the announcement. So far, people from as far away from Texas, Arizona and Nevada have bought tickets, the organization said.

“We’re thrilled to draw people from near and far to Skowhegan for our annual brew festival,” Kristina Cannon, president and CEO of Main Street Skowhegan, said in the statement. “Not only do events showcase our growing community and all that we have to offer visitors, but they also bring people to town who spend money at our locally owned businesses. Brew fest, in particular, brings people back again and again to our community.”

Tickets are required to attend the brew festival, and can be purchased online at skowhegancraftbrewfest.com . A $50 general admission ticket includes unlimited beverage samples from 3 to 7 p.m. and a souvenir tasting glass. “Designated driver” tickets for those who do not wish to drink alcohol are $10.

Ticket prices increase by $5 the day of the festival, so organizers suggest buying tickets by 6 p.m. Friday. Advertisement

A “VIP hour” at 2 p.m., featuring free food samples, other goodies and live entertainment, is sold out.

The brew festival is to be held along the Kennebec River in downtown Skowhegan, where the event moved last year from its previous location on Water Street .

Skowhegan Craft Brew Festival draws hundreds of beer drinkers to new location

Organizers said last year that the move was intended to help promote ongoing economic revitalization efforts along the town’s waterfront, including the planned River Park. Other events, such as the annual River Fest in August , are intended to achieve that goal, too.

With a contractor on board and the permitting process in its final stages, construction of the in-river whitewater park portion of the overall development is expected to begin in spring 2025 , Cannon said recently.

Main Street Skowhegan uses proceeds from the brew festival to support its ongoing economic development efforts, according to organizers. The event is sponsored by more than a dozen local businesses and organizations.

The festival is expected to take place no matter the weather. As of Thursday, the National Weather Service was predicting mostly cloudy skies in Skowhegan on Saturday, with high temperatures in the mid-70s, and a 50% chance of rain showers after 2 p.m.
