High Build Epoxy Filler Yachtcare is a two-component epoxy putty with a very low solvent content , specially designed to offer exceptional application and levelling qualities.

Ideal for repairs and anti-corrosion treatments , it can be used on polyester, carbon, steel, aluminum or hardwood surfaces, above and below the waterline .

Applied with a thermo-fused nylon roller , Yachtcare High Build Epoxy Filler deposits uniform 500 µm coats , without thickness variations or grooves.

It provides optimum protection against water , making it perfect for preventing and treating osmosis on laminate hulls . It is also extremely effective as an anti-corrosion product for steel surfaces.

Description

High Build Epoxy Filler Yachtcare 5 kg is two component epoxy putty, easy to apply, instead of the traditional method of application of the sealant, High Build Epoxy Filler spreads with a nylon roller and is smoothed using a spatula or squeegee. Where once more primary layers and mastic were needed now is obtained by a single stroke of a roller with even layer thickness and an identical surfacing. T he epoxy does not lose volume after drying. The thickness of the wet layer is identical to that of the dry layer. High build epoxy fillers offers greater layer thickness and a greater protection than a standard primer. For a primer standard, it generally takes a shrinkage of about 50%. An application to High build epoxy roll provides a layer thickness of equal if not greater (up to 600 microns) equivalent to 7 - 8 manual application of a traditional bi - component primer. And the sealant can very quickly be covered with another layer, smoothed and sandpapered.

EPOXY BASE FILLER ist universell für alle erdenklichen Spachtelarbeiten im Über- und Unterwasserbereich einzusetzen. Geeignet für Bootsbaumaterialien wie GFK, CFK, Stahl, Aluminium und starres Hartholz. GFK-, Stahl- und Aluminiumuntergründe müssen mit einem 2-komponentigen Epoxid-Primer wie z.B. HEMPEL LIGHT PRIMER vorgrundiert werden.

EP FEINSPACHTEL ist ein schnelltrocknender 2-komponentiger Epoxidspachtel mit höchster Oberflächengüte. Die Qualität ist eine besonders gut schleifbare, thixotrope Feinspachtelmasse mit sehr geringem Porenvolumen. Sie wird zur Feinbearbeitung von Oberflächen sowie zur Aufbereitung, Abdeckung und Verklebung verschiedener Materialien im Über- und Unterwasserbereich eingesetzt. EP FEINSPACHTEL ist lösemittelfrei und zeichnet sich durch hohe Wasserbeständigkeit und gute Schleifeigenschaften aus.

EPOXY FIBER FILLER eignet sich als Verbundwerkstoff besonders gut für die Verfüllung tiefer Unebenheiten und Verklebungen von GFK, CFK, Stahl, Aluminium und Hartholz. Einsatz bei allen Anwendungen, die eine mechanische Belastbarkeit, hohe Festigkeit und ausgezeichnete Wasserbeständigkeit verlangen. Auftretende Spannungs- und Dehnungskräfte werden durch die speziellen Fasern besser aufgenommen und gleichmäßig übertragen. GFK-, Stahl- und Aluminiumuntergründe müssen mit einem 2-komponentigen Epoxid-Primer wie z.B. HEMPEL LIGHT PRIMER vorgrundiert werden.

EP FÜLLPASTE ist eine 2-komponentige, thixotrope Epoxidpaste für den dekorativen Anwendungsbereich. Die hochwertige Epoxidpaste wird für Verfüllung von Nuten z.B. im Fussbodenbrett- oder Stabdeckbereich verwendet. Darüber hinaus findet das Epoxidsystem seine Anwendung bei dekorativen Holzarbeiten. Yachtcare Epoxy Fiber Filler is a universal, solvent free, 2-component fine filler based on epoxy and compounded with special fibres. The grey-coloured putty is waterproof and can be employed above or below the water on alle surfaces sealed with any kind of epoxy primer. This makes the filler appropriate for the maritime industry.

Instructions for use

Yachtcare Epoxy Fiber Filler is very easy to use. Make sure the surface is clean, dry, grease-free and free of dirt before you start filling. Also remove loose or poorly adhering parts. Mix the base and hardener in the specified mixing ratio of 2:1 parts by weight. Mix until a homogeneous, light grey colour is obtained. We recommend making only a quantity that you can process within 15 minutes. Apply a maximum of 2 cm of putty per layer. Is a higher layer thickness desired? Then sand the last layer first before applying a new layer of putty. The maximum overpainting time between 2 layers of putty should not exceed 24 hours (+20°C).

The minimum processing temperature of Yachtcare Epoxy Fiber Filler is 10°C. After mixing, it must be processed within 30 minutes at an ambient temperature of 20°C. You can accelerate the curing of the applied product if desired by adding heat to a maximum of 60°C.
