Once you confirm your reservation, your broker will process your payment.

• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is confirmed more than 7 days in advance, a deposit of either $1,000 USD or 50% of the total cost of the reservation (whichever is greater) is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 7 days away, the remainder of the amount due is processed.
• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is made 7 days or less in advance, the total price of your reservation is processed immediately.
• If you are booking for a multi-day charter and your reservation is confirmed more than 30 days in advance, a deposit of 50% of the cost of the yacht is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 30 days away, the other 50% is collected for the price of the yacht, plus the APA, plus the taxes due.

Terms of refunds are dictated by the Charter Agreement. Generally, once a payment is collected, it is non-refundable. In certain circumstances, as dictated by the Charter Agreement, credits can be provided so you will be able to enjoy your yacht charter at a future date that is convenient for you.

Il veliero Bayesian affondato davanti a Porticello: un superyacht per crociere esclusive

È lungo 56 metri e con un albero maestro di 75 metri d’altezza, caratteristica che lo rende unico

Il Bayesian, l’imbarcazione affondata a largo di Porticello, battente bandiera del Regno Unito, è una lussuosa barca a vela di 56 metri con una stazza lorda di 473 tonnellate. Costruita dal cantiere Perini navi Viareggio nel febbraio 2008 e ristrutturata quattro anni fa, l’imbarcazione è stata progettata per crociere esclusive.

Nel 2009 aveva ricevuto il premio di Superyatch come migliore barca a vela. Il Bayesian vantava inoltre un altro record, quello dell’albero maestro, ovvero l’albero principale della barca, realizzato in alluminio ed alto 75 metri, il secondo più grande al mondo. L’area dei ponti in teak dell’imbarcazione è di 436 metri quadrati e le sei cabine occupano altri 143 metri quadrati. A bordo, secondo il costruttore, possono essere ospitati il proprietario e 11 ospiti oltre ai 10 membri dell’equipaggio. Lo yacht realizzato dal cantiere viareggino è costruito con uno scafo e una sovrastruttura in alluminio. L’arredamento interno è stato realizzato da Rémi Tessier, designer francese operante nel settore del luxury, soprattutto nel mondo dell’arredamento di aerei privati e yatch, che in passato aveva già collaborato con il cantiere Perini Navi.

Secondo alcuni siti britannici, il Bayesian è di proprietà della «Revtom Ltd», una società con sede nell’isola di Man che farebbe capo ad Angela Bacares, moglie del tycoon britannico Mike Lynch, che risulta tra i dispersi del naufragio. La donna è invece tra le 15 persone tratte in salvo dopo che la barca è affondata. La gestione dello yacht sarebbe affidata inoltre al broker Camper & Nicholsons. Il noleggio, sempre secondo le stesse fonti, si aggirerebbe sui 195 mila euro a settimana, circa 215 mila dollari.
