Patagonia Yacht Charter es una empresa de arriendo de veleros y catamaranes en Puerto Montt, con 5 años de experiencia en charters y más de 30 años de experiencia en navegación. Nos enfocamos principalmente en recorrer los fiordos de Chiloé continental y ofrecer actividades para apoyar el turismo y gastronomía local en la Patagonia Verde.

Nos adaptamos a lo que tu buscas en cuanto a recorridos, actividades, comidas, etc. En conocer la Patagonia Verde no hay nada escrito, nos aseguramos de que tengas una experiencia única e inolvidable.

02 Política Covid

En caso no poder realizarse el zarpe desde Puerto Montt, por motivos legales relacionados Covid-19, se puede reagendar sin costo alguno para cualquier fecha estimada posible, sujeto a disponibilidad. En caso no existir una fecha alternativa, se devolverá la totalidad del dinero.

04 Política de devolución

En caso de cancelación del programa por parte del cliente se devolverá el dinero según la siguiente política: - Cancelación 60 días o más antes de la fecha de partida: 15% del precio total de arriendo es retenido (sin considerar extras). - Entre 31 y 59 días antes de la fecha de partida: 30% del precio total de arriendo es retenido (sin considerar extras). - Cancelación 30 días o menos antes de la fecha de partida: 50% del total del arriendo es retenido (sin considerar extras).

Para efectuar una reserva, se debe pagar un 30% del precio de la embarcación (no incluyendo capitán, comidas, otros, etc.) al momento de querer hacer la reserva y el 70% restante 30 días antes del viaje.

El pago puede ser en dólares o en CLP, fijando el precio al dólar observado del día de cada pago.

Patagonia is the scene of the world's great adventures. Even if we know little of the place, the name itself inhabits our subconscious, whispering of an unknown finger of the earth, el fin del mundo. We picture large silent spaces, tempestuous seas, windblown solitude.

The first Europeans to lay eyes on this landscape were led by Ferdinand Magellan, who pioneered passage through the treacherous strait that now bears his name. His expedition named the mainland 'Tierra de los Patagones,' unwittingly spawning the myth of a race of Patagonian giants. To the south, they saw the horizon darkened by smoke from the natives' fires, and named the great island Tierra del Fuego.

The legend of Patagonia was set in motion. The indigenous groups who inhabited Tierra del Fuego deserved to be legends, as these were the world's first and greatest adventurers. In arriving on Tierra del Fuego they had completed the world's furthest human migration, arriving finally at the very end of the earth, where the Andes disappeared into the sea and glaciers flowed to the water's edge. With nowhere else to wander, they stayed and fished the coast in canoes, collected shellfish, hunted guanaco and rheas on the pampa.

Photos taken at the turn of the century depict a stone age culture where extremity had crystallized: the end of the road for the most restless wanders in history. To the east of the Andes, the Patagonian pampa is an immense desert, by some accounts among the five largest deserts in the world.

Southern Patagonia, known as Magallanes, is a world apart, where the broad expanses of the pampa meet with the glacially sculpted spires of the Andes. Torres del Paine National Park and World Biosphere Reserve is the most famous of the vast protected areas in Magallanes, preserving habitat for guanacos, foxes, rheas and flamingos. Punta Arenas is the capital of the Magallanes province. Facing the Straits of Magellan and Tierra del Fuego, Punta Arenas is the principal departure point for cruises and flights to Tierra del Fuego, to the Canal Beagle, Isla Navarino, Cape Horn and Antarctica.

When is the best time to go on a luxury yacht charter Patagonia?

Summertime (December through February) is the best time to visit Patagonia on a yacht charter, with an average high temperature of around 15°C. However, beware the weather is unpredictable during these months: strong winds and sudden storms are common.

The shoulder months of October, November, March, and April tend to have slightly less wind, but they are also a lot cooler. Best to be prepared for all weather conditions regardless of when you visit.

Where to visit on a trip to Patagonia

One highlight of a Patagonia yacht charter is the Bernardo O’Higgins National Park, the largest national park in the country, with a total surface of 8.9 million acres.

What are the major yachting ports in Patagonia?

Most marinas (excluding commercial ports) in Patagonia are not suited to yachts over 30 metres. In Puerto Montt, there are facilities for bigger vessels, but be prepared to be on generators, at anchor, or on mooring buoys for the majority of your trip.

Approach the Garibaldi Glacier, taking a route through one of Chile’s newest and largest national parks, the 9,000+ sq km Parque Nacional Alberto de Agostini, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Garibaldi is one of only three glaciers in Patagonia gaining mass rather than slowly shrinking, and the Garibaldi Fjord is a narrow passage scattered with floating ice in shades of bright blue and green, surrounded by waterfalls tumbling down the steep mountainsides. Hike up through virgin forest to a glacial waterfall to discover spectacular vistas before returning for a gourmet dinner onboard your superyacht.

             Luxury Yacht Charter CHILE

The start of your amazing trip will begin with an easy pick up from the airport in Puerto Montt, Chile. After a short drive you will arrive at the vessel where you will be greeted by an incredible crew. They will give you a quick tour of your new home for the next week while the stew puts your luggage away. While departing, the chef will prepare a delicious lunch aboard using locally sourced seafood. You will enjoy this meal lounging on the beautiful aft deck for the start of your unforgettable trip. The yacht departs for your first night anchorage near the eastern shores of Isla Chiloe, cruising through Golfo de Ancudand Canal Apiao. The first night will be spent taking in the serenity of the bay surrounding Isla Linlinao. A traditional curanto will be served for dinner, made with ingredients purchased from local vendors in Chiloe.

The next day transportation will be arranged to go ashore for a visit to Parque Nacional Chiloe after an early breakfast. You will be transferred ashore on the Nautica tender and taken to the temperate rainforests surrounding the western coast of Chiloe. A local guide will take you to explore the variety of flora and fauna throughout the park and the expansive beach facing the Pacific. Lunch will be arranged at a local pica to experience the hospitality and cuisine of Chiloe. After returning to the yacht, the crew will prepare to get underway to the next anchorage near Isla Carmen to the southeast. A slow cruise towards Isla Carmen includes stunning views of Volcano Corcovado. The anchor will set just off of the shoreline with Volcano Corcovado towering overhead. Wave runners will be launched to offer sunset tours of the fjords nearby while dinner is prepared for another night under the stars.

This day will be spent at the anchorage near Isla Carmen where both wave runners and tenders will be available for tours of the fjords. A shore excursion will be planned for a hike up to the top of the nearest fjord to take in the views of the bay. From the vista both Volcano Corcovado and Chiloe are visible on a clear day. Lunch will be served on the hike and upon return to the yacht all watercraft are loaded in preparation for the longest cruise of the trip to Glacier San Rafael in the south. Dinner will be served against the backdrop of passing fjords as the sun slowly sets over the mountains ahead. 

The crew will  prepare for a day of iceberg spotting and glacial cruising by launching the Nautica tender and scouting the area ahead for ice formations. The yacht begins the final 20 nautical mile cruise to the glacier as breakfast is served. Upon arrival to Laguna San Rafael the Nautica will be launched again and crew members will scout the area ahead for suitable conditions. The yacht follows behind getting close to the primary glacial wall. Cruising will continue in this area for many hours as the guests are allowed to fully take in the sight of the glacier. Before sunset the yacht will return to the main channel to an anchorage in the Quitralco fjord.

A local breakfast will be served onshore in Quitralco and hot springs will be offered for use nearby. The crew of the yacht will take this time to inspect conditions for a waterfall approach in the nearby fjord. When you return, you will be taken via the sea vee to the nearby waterfall where it is possible to nose the tender up to the fjord wall and experience the waterfall up close. On the return trip the crew will keep an eye out for any dolphins or whales that might be exploring the fjords with them that day. The wave runners are once again offered for use and shoreside excursions will be arranged for more hiking if requested. Dinner will be served at anchor and the yacht will cruise shortly after for a return to Chiloe.

Next you will arrive in Islote Conejos, a popular destination where Magellan penguins can be observed from the Nautica. After breakfast, you. will be taken to the island where you will get a close up view of the penguin colony and the various birds that also inhabit the island. The yacht will continue up to Castro where you will go ashore for your final night to see the famous wooden stilt houses and the bright yellow cathedral in La Plaza de Armas. A guide will accompany you and show you the best places for purchasing gifts and souvenirs. Dinner can be had ashore or onboard. A short movie of the trip will be presented to you in the sky lounge after dinner to commemorate a successful trip.

After breakfast onboard you will prepare to depart for the local airport where a helicopter is arranged to give a final aerial tour of the region. You will arrive in Puerto Montt to return to your final destinations.

Dear Clare, I came back home from my honeymoon just yesterday. The time on board on Melinda was wonderful, Tonga is a piece of paradise on the earth and even if the weather wasn't good (clouds and rain for almost all the time) the crew was great in finding something to do: they often took us with the dinghy for a walk ashore or for an exploration of the coast around and they had care of us for everything. For all the time we had great sailing, great snorkeling, really good food and it was very interesting to explore the islands where we were anchored for the night. I think we will never forget all the places and all the people we met, overall we will never forget the crew (Christine for her magnificent cakes, Steve for all his stories and for the funny sailing and Mesi for his precision in doing everything). And I will never forget your courtesy and kindness in the organization of this trip. Thank you so much! Dear Clare sorry for the delay in responding your mail .We travel after Tahiti and only arrived this week. We had a beautiful time and weather that although it rained a couple of times it was overall excellent. The couple of Didier and Pauline couldn’t have been better. Pauline is an outstanding Chef; in fact I told if she came to live to Chile we could become famous opening a restaurant. Live updates: Seven dead in 56m superyacht Bayesian sinking tragedy

Seven people have died in the Bayesian sinking disaster. These include the six missing people who were inside the yacht when it sank, as well as a seventh person who was located shortly after the disaster. The seventh person is understood to be the yacht's chef, Recaldo Thomas. The other six are:

• British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch, once dubbed 'Britain's Bill Gates'
• Lynch's 18-year-old daughter, Hannah
• Morgan Stanley's chairman, Jonathan Bloomer
• Judy Bloomer, wife of Morgan Stanley chairman
• Chris Morvillo, a lawyer working for London-based law firm Clifford Chance
• Neda Morvillo, an American jewellery designer and Chris' wife

It is understood that the yacht was being used to celebrate Lynch's recent victory in a 13-year £8 billion fraud acquittal.

No one remembers the mast snapping before 56m superyacht Bayesian sunk, says crew

No one recalls seeing the mast snap on board the 56-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht Bayesian which sank off the Italian island of Sicily on 19 August. The eyewitness account of a crewmember on board the vessel, which was obtained by BOAT International , said that the boat was struck by a freak weather event which led to the yacht heeling at around 20 degrees to starboard. As crewmembers were securing items, the heeling angle began to increase rapidly until the yacht started taking on water and sank rapidly.

The crewmembers who were up on deck were able to evacuate the yacht with minor injuries. The yacht is understood to have sunk in just twelve minutes, and it is believed that a "major ingress" of water from the top down would have caused the sinking, according to a captain who wishes to remain anonymous. This is based on the fact that no breaches have been reported in the yacht's hull, and the fact that the yacht should have been able to remain afloat with two flooded compartments.

The captain of the sistership to the sunken 56-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht Bayesian has said it is "very difficult to understand what could have overwhelmed a vessel of that size" and called the 56-metre Perini Navi series "bulletproof".

David Hutchinson, captain of Rosehearty , said he had taken the yacht around the world multiple times and he had "total faith in the boat".  "We've been to Antarctica and Chile, and we've had her in 70 knots of wind," he says, and the vessel had never put them in a situation that felt unmanageable.

However, Hutchinson noted there were differences between Bayesian and Rosehearty ; notably, Bayesian's  74-metre mast, which would have been heavier and added increased windage. The yacht's layout was also different, with guest accommodation on Bayesian located further forward.

• During a news conference on Saturday morning (24 August), prosecutors confirmed they are in the early stages of investigating a "crime hypothesis" of culpable shipwreck and manslaughter. Authorities also said the yacht likely sunk because of a downburst (powerful wind that descends from a thunderstorm), rather than a waterspout.
• A search and rescue for six missing people has concluded. The final missing person is understood to be Hannah Lynch. 
• According to Reuters, six bodies have now been found in the sunken yacht. These include Mike Lynch, a British technology entrepreneur who co-founded Autonomy Corporation and founded Invoke Capital, although Italian authorities have not confirmed this.  
• One person was found immediately after the yacht sunk, and this is understood to be the yacht's chef. 
• Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, and a one-year-old are among the fifteen people rescued along with Bayesian' s captain, James Cutfield.
• Another sailing vessel in the area, the 42-metre Sir Robert Baden Powell ,  stepped in to offer assistance in the initial rescue.
• Divers have been able to reach Bayesian' s sunken hull, which lies at 45 metres of depth about half a mile from the coast. The yacht had the largest aluminium masts of any sailing yacht on the water.
• Eyewitnesses in the area reported "hurricane" conditions off the coast but local weather websites did not indicate any severe squall, which suggests that the weather event was not forecast.
• At around 5am local time on 19 August, Bayesian was hit by bad weather and sunk.  The sailing yacht was anchored or idle at the time of the incident.

Built in Italy by renowned builder Perini Navi and delivered in 2008, the yacht's naval architecture was developed by Ron Holland Design while the interior design is by Rémi Tessier . She was formerly known as Salute and was last refitted in 2016. She was listed for sale earlier this year, according to BOATPro . The yacht had accommodation for nine guests and 12 crew.

The chairman of Morgan Stanley International was reportedly among the six missing people—including UK tech mogul Michael Lynch— after the 184-foot luxury sailing yacht Bayesian sank in rough seas near Sicily early Monday morning, according to new reports.

Lynch , a British tech entrepreneur and one-time billionaire, and his 18-year-old daughter Hannah Lynch are confirmed to be among those still missing after the ship sank (his wife, Angela Bacares, was rescued).

Jonathan Bloomer, chairman of the Morgan Stanley International bank and insurance company Hiscox, is also reportedly among the missing along with his wife, Judy.

Authorities on Monday told the BBC the missing people are presumed to still be inside the boat, and rescue operations resumed Tuesday morning.

The vessel had 22 people on board — 10 crew and 12 passengers — including people from the United States, Britain and Canada, when it overturned at around 5 a.m. Monday, according to the Italian coast guard.

Fifteen people were rescued from the vessel (including a 1-year-old girl), one person was found dead and six, including two Americans , remain missing, according to multiple reports.

Local media reported the person who died was a member of the crew, thought to be the yacht’s chef .

Who Are The Missing People Aboard The Bayesian Yacht?

Lynch, 59, and his daughter were the first to be reported as among the missing. Lynch's lawyer Chris Morvillo, a former assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, has also not been found, nor has his wife and jewelry designer Neda Morvillo. Bloomer, 70, a close friend of Lynch's, is also missing along with his wife, Judy.

The Bayesian was anchored near the port of Porticello overnight Sunday when a harsh storm hit the coast that included a " waterspout ," a tornado-like swirling column of air and water. The ship tipped over and quickly was drug underwater by its massive mast —it had the tallest aluminum mast in the world at 246 feet. Of the 15 people rescued in the aftermath, eight were treated at a local hospital.

Lynch was acquitted in a fraud trial in June after he was accused by Hewlett-Packard of artificially inflating the value of Autonomy before HP bought it for more than $11 billion in 2011. HP wrote off $8.8 million of Autonomy's value within a year of buying the company. Today, The Times estimates Lynch has a net worth of £500 million. He "had a lot of pride" in his yacht, a member of his staff told the U.K. paper, and business filings show the boat is legally owned by his wife, Bacares.

Surprising Fact: Lynch's Co-Defendant Stephen Chamberlain Died The Same Weekend

Stephen Chamberlain, who was acquitted in the same trial as Lynch in June, died hours after news broke of Lynch's disappearance. Chamberlain was hit by a car while jogging in England on Saturday morning and was put on life support before his death was announced late Monday, the Guardian reported . Lynch and Chamberlain were both indicted for conspiracy and wire fraud in the sale of Autonomy to HP before being acquitted.

An ongoing search operation includes divers attempting to search the vessel, now sitting 160 feet below sea level, as well as rescue boats and helicopters, according to CNN .

Five bodies found inside superyacht that sank off Sicily

PORTICELLO, Sicily — Divers recovered four bodies Wednesday from inside a superyacht that sank in a sudden storm off Sicily , Salvatore Cocina, director of the island's Civil Protection Agency, confirmed to NBC News.

Cocina later confirmed to Sky News that a fifth body had been found and was being brought to shore. One passenger remains missing.

The identities of the bodies were not immediately released. Their recovery follows a dayslong search in the deep waters off Italy where British tech tycoon Mike Lynch  and several others were believed to be trapped in the hull. Fifteen of the 22 people aboard survived.

The rest had been missing since early Monday, when the Bayesian was caught in the storm anchored off the coast of Porticello, a village near the Sicilian capital city, Palermo.

The body of the ship’s cook, identified as Recaldo Thomas, a Canadian Antiguan national, was recovered Monday. 

On Wednesday, NBC News witnessed what appeared to be at least three body bags being lifted from fire department boats after they pulled into port at Porticello. It was unclear whose bodies they were. Some were later transferred to ambulances and driven away from the dock.

Lynch’s 18-year-old daughter, Hannah; Morgan Stanley International Chairman Jonathan Bloomer and his wife, Judy; and Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife, Neda, are also missing. 

The Bayesian is owned by a firm linked to Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, who was among the survivors rescued by a nearby vessel after they got into a lifeboat.

Built by the Italian shipbuilder Perini Navi in 2008, the U.K.-registered yacht could carry 12 guests and a crew of up to 10, according to online specialist boating sites. Its nearly 250-foot mast is the tallest aluminum sailing mast in the world, according to CharterWorld Luxury Yacht Charters.  

Regularly described in U.K. media as “Britain’s Bill Gates,” Lynch was  acquitted of fraud by a San Francisco jury this year, stemming from the sale of his software company Autonomy to Hewlett-Packard for $11 billion in 2011.

The Mediterranean sailing vacation was designed to be a celebration for Lynch, who brought Bloomer, who testified in his defense, and Morvillo, one of his U.S. lawyers, on the trip.

Lynch's co-defendant Stephen Chamberlain was not aboard the Bayesian, but in what appears to be a tragic coincidence, a  car struck and killed  him Saturday as he was jogging in a village about 68 miles north of London, local police said.
