Each cleaning step brings out more of the marine miniatures original beauty..

Cleaning a miniature model vessels is a delicate process. I use soft brushes, cotton swabs, and gentle solvents to remove dust and grime without damaging the original materials.

It’s important to be gentle to avoid damaging any fragile parts. Sometimes, I find old varnish or paint that needs to be carefully stripped away.

It’s amazing how a thorough cleaning can reveal the hidden beauty of a model that’s been neglected for so long.

3. Maritime Models Repairs & Replacements

Repairing any maritime model vessel requires patience and precision..

Whether it’s hand-carving a new mast, sewing new sails, or carefully rigging new lines, each step requires precision and a deep understanding of the original construction techniques.

I always strive to use materials that match the original as closely as possible, ensuring that the restored model is both authentic and durable.

The goal is to make repairs that are seamless and maintain the model ship or boats authenticity.

4. Painting & Finishing Miniature Vessels

The final touches that bring the model ship or boat replica back to life..

Using historically accurate colours and techniques, I aim to preserve the model’s aged appearance while giving it a fresh look.

Varnishing or waxing protects the model from future deterioration, ensuring it can be admired for years to come.
