hi Very, very wanderfull day we had today with our crew members David and his wife and their big family... Really calm and peacefull summer day, swimming and snorkeling, little taste of Istria by the early lunch we had on board our Allegra and later on in the Limski Fyord by the Viking restaurant remind us all that the Mediteranian kitchen could be and stil is very deliciouse... On our way back to Rovinj Harbour we saw some little Dolphyns and a last colored performanse of our Sun for today... How beautiful, simple and amazing can be our Mother Nature... I had such a wanderfull day with my crew today... Carpe Diem my friends, Capt Ive

Excellent and very comfortable boat! It has towels, drinks, toilette and nice lounging deck! We were 2 people and had so much space! Our captain Gaetano was amazing and very friendly!

today we traveled to the southern part of the island with Conrad and his beautiful family from Spain! they were very kind and friendly people! we had very beautiful moments throughout the trip! thank you for everything and we will be happy to see them again

The rental boat was a good value for money. Check in and check out went smoothly, the staff was friendly. However communications could have been a bit better: I did not get answers to all my questions in advance. (Like what documents are needed for the rental). Also during boat handover I missed some useful information (like we could use any free available space on the pier, and we do not need to force ourselves to park the boat to the exact same spot when returning to the harbor.)

Excellent service and fun boat. Celebrated family members birthday with a trip from Torrevieja Marina to Cabo Roig. Highly recommended! No issues and very skilled and friendly skipper.

Fata Mogana is a experienced lady, so not brand new. But she is in good shape and worked well the week we sailed her. I can recomend this boat, geeat Value for the monney. Also great size for us. We were five people on board.

I discovered Click&Boat surfing the Internet. I am a naturally curious person, and your website caught my attention right away. I started reading about your general terms and conditions, where I quickly found a phone number. After talking to the client service, which was very pleasing, I decided to try out the platform.

At the age of 16, I was volunteering for the Red Cross of the Sea, where our goal was to assure sailing regattas. It is during that period that I learned to navigate on small boats for the first time. After 30 years, I finally got to own my first fishing boat bigger than 8 meters in length. Five years ago, a friend of mine who made his fishing boat available for charter, invited me to come aboard with him and some clients. It is then that I saw how much people appreciated the sea. So, I decided to pass my professional license to be able to take people out on the water in Mallorca.

The service that I offer is simple charters without skipper, because many people own a boat license, and our vessels are easy to handle. We are starting private excursions where we can take people on the boats to places they could not go to by themselves.

Most of the profits we make are spent on fleet upgrades. I always like to remember how thankful renters are when they are satisfied with our service.

And it’s even better when the weather is good.

What to see on a trip to The United Kingdom?

England’s south coast is renowned for its impressive coastal towns and resorts – Portsmouth and Southampton, for instance, have a unique sailing heritage, while Beer, in Devon, and Mousehole, in Cornwall, are picture-perfect fishing villages. In fact, the whole south coast of England is peppered with picturesque fishing villages that have remained beautifully intact whilst time has ticked by.

Torquay, the so called “heart of the English riviera” is a seafront town with palm trees and red cliffs, alongside fantastic restaurants and boutique hotels.

A trip to the Isle of Scilly feels like a world away from the mainland. This archipelago that surrounds 140 tiny islands appears to have hardly ever changed in decades. No supermarkets, no traffic jams, no multinational hotels, this is a land that understands what it means to be of a time before what we have today. It is something to behold on a personal level as this is a location that always takes your breath away.

Away from the south coast, you can sail into the Thames to marvel at a iconic buildings like the Shard, St Paul’s Cathedral and Tower Bridge, or sail further along the east coast for a lazy cruise along the Norfolk Broads or to sample more picturesque fishing villages, including the iconic Whitby, the scene of the vampire’s landing in Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

On to Scotland – sailing the turquoise waters and walking the white sands of the highlands and islands will leave you breathless, as will navigating the seas of the inner and outer hebrides.

For the experienced sailor wanting the freedom to cruise at their own pace, bareboat chartering is for you.   All of our UK sailing yachts are available for hire for completely independent sailing, leaving you to plan your own itinerary and to sail where and when you choose – within the Solent, along the UK South Coast, or across the Channel to France and the Channel Islands.

Bareboat Sailing Area

Unlike other charter companies, Hamble Point Yacht Charters offers an unrestricted sailing area, so you can explore the Solent and Isle of Wight, or venture further afield at no extra cost.

Bareboat Charter Requirements

To book a bareboat yacht charter from us we have to be satisfied that you will be able to safely skipper the yacht throughout your sailing holiday and return her safely to us. Our general requirement for bareboat hire is that the skipper should be experienced to a level equivalent to RYA Coastal Skipper and that at least one crew member should have experience equivalent to RYA Competent Crew. If you do not have formal sailing qualifications that meet these conditions then we will request a “sailing CV” from you listing your sailing experience and our Fleet Manager will have a chat with you to satisfy himself that you are competent to hire your choice of sailing yacht.

For some of the smaller boats on our fleet (up to 36 feet), it is possible to arrange a bareboat charter from us with two persons with the equivalent of RYA Day Skipper (Tidal) on board; or on occasion, an experienced RYA Day Skipper plus an RYA Competent Crew. If you are unsure about whether you and your crew have the necessary qualifications then please call us to discuss this further. If there is any doubt then there is always the option to include a skipper in your charter for the first day. If they are happy that you are competent to continue sailing on your own after the first day then they will leave you to continue your charter on your own.

If you don’t yet have the right qualifications, complete your RYA training course with us.

Our superb fleet of sailing yachts are maintained to the highest standards and fully equipped with stereos, TVs in some cases, domestic equipment, as well as all essential safety and navigation equipment, charts and almanacs designed to make your cruise comfortable, enjoyable and safe. Many of our yachts have state of the art electronics as well as the basics; including colour chart plotters, AIS and radar. Please see our standard list of charter equipment for more information on what you will find on board. If you have children on board then we would be happy to discuss adding child netting to the guard rails to help keep your little ones on board!

We are members of the  British Marine Leisure Boating Association as well as the Professional Charter Asociation  and we fully meet their standards.

All our charterers have the support of Sea Start as well as our full time staff at our base and a 24-hour emergency telephone line.so if you do experience any difficulties during your charter there is comprehensive support available to you.

Other Sailing Ideas

If bareboat chartering isn’t for you, other options are available. You could hire a boat with skipper  join a ‘Cruise in Company’ flotilla or book an individual berth on a group sailing yacht, offering you the ability to get out on the water if you wish to sail but can’t or don’t want to skipper a yacht or cannot get a full crew to commit; or if you would prefer to sail in the company of other yachts:

We have just had another wonderful week on a yacht we chartered from Hamble Point Yacht Charters. We have sailed several of their boats, this time it was a lovely 35 foot Bavaria. Chartering from HPYC is always an easy choice for us: the boats are well maintained, support is excellent, and the staff are always super friendly and helpful. On top of that, Hamble Point is such an ideal starting location for sailing around the Solent.

This is truly a 5 * service. The team really looked after us both ashore on arrival and also while at sea. We were a relatively inexperienced crew but always felt the team ashore had our backs. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a fabulous four days. Marina is ideally placed for the Solent, boat was in great condition, well equipped and a joy to sail. We were well briefed and the shore side team including the dog very friendly.

We charted one of the sailing yachts for a fantastic weekend cruise in the Solent. The boat was in superb condition and well equipped, the staff was very helpful explaining how things work on the yacht and there was also a video available with all the important information. 10/10 would recommend!

Had a fantastic week chartering Blue Otter, Alex was incredibly helpful and sent loads of information and date checking prior to booking. There was a handover video and both the handover and return were really smooth. The boat was lovely and well maintained and Lee was really helpful in recommending places to visit (and helping identify the steering issue as an autopilot takeover - doh!). Definitely will be back and would fully recommend!

Just back from a lovely week in the Solent. Great service from HPYC from first inquiry through to return handover. Very straightforward to deal with, and the yacht was in excellent condition. We've chartered from many companies in the UK and abroad and the attention to detail (and flawless inventory!) was second to none. Everything about the yacht and equipment had clearly been well looked after and was in immaculate condition. Great service, will use again.

Hamble Point Yacht Charters supplied us an impeccable 45 ft Hanse yacht, which was handled with complete mastery by Captain Lee.It was a privilege to sail with Lee, who is clearly a highly skilled professional taking great pride in his work ... but who is also a fantastic character with a great sense of humour and plenty of fun stories to keep the whole family entertained. He balances the serious side of safety and learning about sailing with a whopping dose of amusement and good cheer. We sailed the Solent in some decent seas, visited Bucklers Hard on the banks of the Beaulieu River and learned lots about British nautical history. Our boys started somewhat of a fishing trend catching bass off the back of the boat in Portsmouth and we would love to sail with Lee again in the future.The man truly knows his stuff, maintained the boat impeccably and went to every effort to ensure that we had a great time. How much does it cost to rent a canal boat?

The price of renting a canal boat varies depending on the location and length of your holiday, as well as the canal boat you choose. We provide a range of special offers, including a 2-week discount, 2 nd holiday discount, multi-boat discount, loyalty discount and early bird discount. We also allow you to spread the cost of your holiday with our easy payment plan. Contact a member of our friendly team to find out more about the costs of our canal boat holidays.

Where is the best place for a canal boat holiday?

It all depends on the type of canal boat holiday you’re looking for! We have locations across England, Scotland and Wales such as Anderton Marina , Falkirk Canal  and Goytre Wharf . Not sure where to spend your next canal boat holiday? Check our locations , routes  and boats  for inspiration. Alternatively, contact a member of our knowledgeable team  who will offer invaluable canal boat holiday advice.

Can I still book if I haven't 'driven' a boat before?

No previous experience is necessary, as our boats are extremely easy to handle and full tuition is given at the start of every holiday. Comprehensive cruising information is in a manual on the boat and details are sent out with the holiday documents to introduce you to the theory of locks and the 'rules of the road'. We provide our own 24hr emergency helpline. 

Do you need a license to drive a boat?

You do not need a driving licence for a canal boat or narrowboat and the boat itself is licenced by us for CRT waterways. There are a few waterways outside their jurisdiction for which you will need to purchase an additional licence as you enter them, such as the Scottish Canals, Rivers Avon, Thames and Wey. Our start bases can provide details when you arrive to pick up your boat. Aldermaston boats have a Thames license.

The maximum number of people allowed on board is restricted to the number of berths.

Can we bring pets aboard?

This really is a holiday the whole family can enjoy together. We do not charge for any of your pets - however there is normally a maximum of 2 allowed. We obviously request that the boat is returned in a clean and tidy condition and reserve the right to refuse pets or charge for any additional cleaning or repairs required as a result of pets being on board during your holiday.

Llangollen canal was beautiful; Chirk tunned and Pontycysyllte aqueduct were big attractions. Only 2 locks which was good for a young family. Didn't make it to Llangollen but we visited the town by car afterwards.

The pickup was easy, the boat was clean and spacious as far as narrow boats go. We had an issue with our fridge, and it didn't cool properly. this was the only issue we experienced. We called it in but didn't ask for an engineer to come out and look at it, we made do. Perhaps have a spare hose connector on the boat. I lost the one we had and then needed to borrow from other boaters to fill up the water tanks.

We have a large range of these magnificent superboats for luxury yacht charters. Some 60 feet and over in length, which offers interiors a spacious and airy ambience. Many are luxuriously fitted with teak-laid, full-width bathing platforms. Cockpits and flybridges signify the high standard specification of these yachts, as do the stainless steel windows, portholes and fender strips. All the leading motor boats designs including Sunseeker, Princess, Squadron and Muse to name just a few.

Brighton Motor Cruise Charters

As an example of a perfect motor cruiser charter, we can offer similar options from any marina in the UK. Brighton marina is an ideal location for any luxury charter as it offers both first class facilities, it is just under the hour from London and has many conference and meeting locations to split the day if required for some serious work – to serious play.

Relax in the sea breeze and enjoy the onward passage east to the famous cliffs of Beachy Head.

At high tide you turn fairly close to the lighthouse and then return to the home berth at Brighton Marina where you can relax on board and enjoy the luxurious surroundings and nautical atmosphere. As an alternative from Beachy Head we can continue east arriving at Sovereign Harbour, after passing through the lock and berthing you can enjoy the cosmopolitan Waterfront complex which offers an excellent selection of shops, restaurants and bistro-style cafes with superb views over the marina.

For the ultimate pose, float majestically just off the Brighton seafront sipping cocktails. And we can also offer selective groups, both stag and hen the opportunity to charter these magnificent boats.

Solent Motor Cruise Charters

The Solent has so many different charter options for your desire – lose yourself in one of the small bays only accessible via the motor boat, or moor up in Cowes for a luxury luncheon, the possibilities are endless, and it’s all up to you. We also regularly charter to all the major regattas including the infamous Cowes Regatta.

Prices will be based on exclusive charter of the motor boats, menu options and time of year. Groups including Stag and Hen parties are more than welcome to charter the boats.

Southampton Motor Cruise Charters

his fantastic Farr Design Yacht is available for top level corporate day charters from Southampton. Up to 20 guests gather on board at 10:00 for a Champagne breakfast and a safey briefing from the skipper. Once the formalities are over, the mooring lines are cast and the crew skilfullly begin to prepare the yacht for sailing.

Refreshments and canapes are offered by a friendly stewardess as the yacht sails down Southampton Water and out towards the Solent. It’s here that the Farr Design Yacht can really stretch her legs and the fun begins. Guests will have the exhilarating opportunity to help helm and sail the yacht and her captain will give a full tour of her capabilities. Guests also have a customised, 8 metre, high-powered Courger RIB plus a qualified driver at their disposal allowing those who have opted for lunch ashore to be transferred to a waterside seafood restaurant in style. A party preferring to dine on board enjoy an exceptional three-course buffet lunch.

Sailing continues at 14:30 for the rest of the afternoon, with a break for Pimms and a traditional cream tea before finally heading hack to the Marina by 17:00.
