Having been positioned on the Green Egg Harbor Bay since 1901, the Ocean City Yacht Club boasts both rich history and picturesque views. The quaint blue building with white trimming already establishes a coastal vibe at first glance. Hold your ceremony right above the water with the view of the entire bay surrounding you, and let your guests mingle on the waterfront deck before the big celebration! Inside the club, a spacious dining room with hardwood floors awaits. With panoramic bay view windows, fantastic coastal cuisine, and enough room for a party of a lifetime, a festive and memorable reception is guaranteed. Surrounded by your friends, family, and the romantic sunset, you will start a lifetime of happiness the right way at the Ocean City Yacht Club!

Service options, venue notes.
The rental fee is $1500 for the reception and includes 4 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The set up fee for an indoor or outdoor ceremony is $500 with an extra hour of event time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $400/hr. A non-refundable security deposit of $2,000 is required. Saturday receptions during the months of May, June, September and October, also including the Sunday’s of Memorial and Labor Day weekends, require an attendance of at least 150 guests. If attendance is less than 150, a service charge of $20.00 will be applied for each person less than 150. Please inquire with venue wedding coordinator for more details.

About this venue
The Ocean City Yacht Club, established in 1901, is rich in both history and tradition. We have one of the most active and competitive sailing programs in the Mid Atlantic region including bay and offshore racing. The 2023 season marks the 122nd year that the Ocean City Yacht Club (OCYC) has been in existence, an organization steeped in family values and tradition. The Club has a multitude of activities for members to enjoy: sunset meals on the bay, Saturday night theme parties, bridge, golf, fishing, and sailing/boating events. There are innumerable events to socialize with friends and meet new people. Members can also look forward to the continuation of philanthropic endeavors the Club has supported over the past years, such as Fishing for Kids in June and the OCYC foundation. These events demonstrate the Club’s commitment to worthwhile causes benefitting the community.

Ocean City Yacht Club Wedding of Gillian & Ryan
Gillian & Ryan had an absolutely perfect Ocean City Yacht Club wedding ! I met Gillian a while back and she was a bridesmaid at a wedding I photographed about a month earlier. She did an incredible job with her planning and timeline so her day ran smooth like butter. The girls started out in a rented house in Ocean City just off the boardwalk. After photographing all her beautiful details it was time to head over to meet Ryan for the couple’s first look on the wedding day.
We photographed the couple and the bridal party on the beach very close to where their Ocean City Yacht Club Wedding was going to take place. They looked amazing on the rock jetty and with a small set of small catamaran sailboats that were on the beach ready to be launched.

Ocean City Beach Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony took place on the public beach in Ocean City and all the beachgoers were in awe of the wonderful exchange of vows. Beach weddings are amazing. The fact that you are barefoot shooting a wedding always feels unreal to me! One other side note that I promise to take some random photographs of strangers on the beach and slip them into your proofs for a laugh.
Ocean City Yacht Club Wedding Reception
The reception was at The Ocean City Yacht Club overlooking the bay. Their guests loved the music and were ready to party until the very last second of their reception. If you can I highly suggest to go outside for a few night photographs. The docks lit up at night are incredible! I had an amazing day with Gillian and Ryan and we created an stunning album for them. Best wishes!

Kelly and Charlie’s Ocean City Yacht Club Wedding On A Boat To Nowhere.

What’s better than a nice sunny summer day for a wedding on the beach? A nice sunny fall day. Not too hot, still plenty of sun. A perfect mix. And Kelly and Charlie got the perfect day for their wedding. They both got ready two houses from each other where Charlie’s family has a house. Then they were off to maybe one of the shortest was to the church ever. Maybe 100 feet max. It doesn’t get much better than that. The ceremony went beautifully and Kelly and Charlie were happily wed. We then hit the beach for some portraits along with some bridal party shots. The sun was extremely bright, but with a little magic we got some really awesome images. They even got to hop in a boat that was on the sand for a few shots, right before the town took it away. And the good timing continued into the evening as we got to the yacht club just in time for an insane sunset where we took full advantage of the dock. But he party had just started and after speeches and first dances, Kelly and Charlie’s guests wasted no time getting down on the dance floor. They certainly showed the happy couple they were having a good time. And you could see Kelly and Charlie beaming as their family and friends surrounded them on their big day. Enjoy the photos!

From the moment we arrived it was clear just how excited Laura, John and their sweet families were! And their First Look was such a highlight of the day! John was waiting for Laura down on the beach and they were all smiles when they finally saw each other.
Laura and John chose to marry at the beautiful Ocean City Yacht Club in New Jersey on a beautiful day this past September. Surrounded by those they love most Laura and John became husband and wife on the dock of the yacht club overlooking the bay. The sun was setting and the sound of water lapping at the dock was incredibly soothing. Their closest family and friends made the trip to OCNJ to stand witness to these intimate nuptials as did the bride and groom’s adorable pup.
After their beautiful ceremony, Laura and John were embraced by their witnesses and were off and running into their incredible reception. The Ocean City Yacht Club had beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces that made for a super free-flowing event. After sharing their first dance and hearing some touching speeches, John took to the mic for something special. He and his friends are incredible musicians and he decided to serenade Laura. It was so beautiful. From there it was a great dance party and lots of fun! Enjoy!

I remember a couple of weeks before their wedding day, Pamela asked me what would happen with their photos if it rained on their wedding day. While we hope it won’t rain on our couples’ wedding day, the weather is always a gamble, but one thing is certain: we will always work hard to get beautiful photos, no matter what the weather!
On Pam and Graham’s wedding, it started to rain during their ceremony but then the rain turned to a slight drizzle and our couple was on board for getting photos on the beach in spite of the weather so of course we jumped on the opportunity! The photos of them on the windy beach turned out so romantic and genuine!
With navy and white details, this coastal-inspired wedding came together beautifully. When I asked Graham and Pamela why they picked Ocean City Yacht Club for their wedding day, they told me it was because it was in OC – somewhere they love to go and just enjoy life. It’s a super welcoming venue and was the vibe they wanted for their whole day. Check it out in some of my favorite images below!

OCYC is a private club whose members enjoy access to the Club House, Commodore's Lounge, Porch Room, docks, boat ramp/crane and boat storage. Explore the website to see the many programs that members can enjoy.
1. When advised by the OCYC Membership Chair of an opening, the applicant must supply two sponsorship letters and complete an in-person interview within 30 days of being contacted. The two letters must be from current members in good standing who are not part of the same membership (e.g. a person and their spouse cannot supply separate letters). Applicants should consider providing the sponsor letters at the time an application is made to expedite the process.

A nice sunny fall day. Not too hot, still plenty of sun. A perfect mix. And Kelly and Charlie got the perfect day for their wedding. They both got ready two houses from each other where Charlie's family has a house. Then they were off to maybe one of the shortest was to the church ever. Maybe 100 feet max.
