I had my weddimg here for a group of 60 and honestly it was the best experience ever. Laurie made booking and planning the event so easy and stress free. I couldn't believe how easy it was. The day of was amazing. First off the boat is fantastic. It is unique, fun and pretty. Definitely not a banquet hall on the water! Second my guests all said the food was amazing. They especially loved the pan fried dumplings, watermelon feta salad and the cake!!! Finally, the crew worked so hard to make my event special and perfect. Captain Nick performed our ceremony, which was so fun, and there are not enough words to describe how awesome Billy is. He was two steps ahead the whole night and really made sure my groom and I as well as our parents were taken care of. It was a wonderful day and I couldn't have hoped for a better venue for such a special celebration.

We had an amazing time. Laurie, Billy and the entire crew did such a fantastic job on my wife's surprise party! My wife told me she never had a happier night in her life. The boat was beautiful and the crew did a wonderful job keeping everything running smoothly. Everyone I spoke with told me they had a truly amazing time.

She can accommodate up to 10 guests for overnight excursions or after a wedding on board. There is no rental fee for the vessel. There are marina docking fees that range from $800 to $1,200 depending on the size of the dock and location. Please inquire with the charter company to confirm the exact fee. The price per person ranges from $140 to $160 per guest for the meal, alcohol, and up to a 5-hour event. There is a guest minimum of 30 guests for all events. Nautical Holidays can coordinate on different dock locations in New York and New Jersey. Individual docks will have different docking fees.

Bravo fans have been waiting a very long time for news about Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5, and the network has finally delivered.

Not only did Bravo just drop a brand-new trailer for the fifth season of the hotly-anticipated reality TV show, the network also confirmed precisely when Below Deck Sailing Yacht will return.

Until today, fans of Below Deck Sailing Yacht weren't quite sure the spin-off of Below Deck would return for a fifth season, as the last episode of Season 4 aired way back in July 2023.

In late June, one viewer asked Reddit users if Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 was ever going to happen, and even as recently as this summer, fans weren't sure the show was returning.

In that thread, BDSY fans speculated that Season 5 was delayed due to allegations involving First Officer Gary King.

As we previously reported, Season 4 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht featured a wild "love triangle" between Gary, Chief Stewardess Daisy Kelliher , and Chief Engineer Colin MacRae:

"Many things influenced the relationship between Daisy and Colin, but one name was the most prominent: Gary King. "Daisy, Colin, and Gary's entanglement reached a boiling point that got the three in public arguments and name-calling, and at the end, estranged."

A month after Season 4 concluded with a two-part reunion in July 2023, Rolling Stone published an in-depth article , "'Below Deck' Accused of Covering Up Gary King’s Sexual Misconduct," rocking the show's audience.

It reported in part:

"Bravo’s Below Deck was recently lauded for its handling of sexual misconduct when a producer on Below Deck Down Under broke the 'fourth wall' and intervened when one cast member, Luke Jones, tried to get into bed naked with another cast member, Margot Sisson, without her consent while she was inebriated and passed out. Not only was Luke fired from the show, but their fellow cast member and stewardess, Laura Bileskalne, was also let go because of victim-blaming comments she made to Margot about the incident and her own line-crossing pursuit of deckhand Adam Kodra. [...] "Samantha Suarez, who first joined Below Deck in the makeup department on Season 10 of the show, tells Rolling Stone that cast member Gary King tried to force himself on her during production of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season Four, which filmed in Sardinia, Italy, in the summer of 2022."

Fans speculated that Season 5 was delayed due to extensive retooling, but Bravo eventually confirmed the return of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, with a trailer that centers Daisy.

On September 16, Bravo finally released the Below Deck Sailing Yacht trailer.

Bravo shared the clip on Instagram and Twitter/X, to the surprise of fans:

Posts teased the crew's visit to the notoriously riotous destination of Ibiza, and the trailer kicked off with some remarks from Daisy.

Daisy is the first crew member to speak in the trailer, and she addresses the unwieldy love triangle of Season 4:

"Going into this season, I got rid of some dead weight. The breakup did a number on me last year. I felt very broken. "But now, I'm coming back in more focused, full of energy, and I'm f*****g good at my job. And I'm taking back the reins."

Immediately thereafter, the clip cuts to a cabin, where Daisy tells an in-bed Gary that she refuses to "carry this season," before cutting back to newer footage of Daisy laughing and predicting:

This is gonna be a s*** show.

Then the video shifts to Ibiza, where a voiceover describes it as the world's "party capital," and scenes are interspersed with a lot of breaking glass.

Gary (who has not been let go from the franchise) makes an appearance, and the soundbite chosen for the trailer is bizarre given the allegations levied at him last year:

If the guests don't have a good time, we're clearly doing something very wrong.

As the trailer winds down, one of the crew members (likely Deckhand Keith Allen) muses that "Daisy would make a very good wife."

The trailer wraps with an apparent firing, as well as what appears to be a scene during which the crew veers uncomfortable close to another vessel at sea, at night.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 debuts on Bravo on October 7 at 9PM Eastern, and streams on Peacock the following day.

Bald Head Island's major milestones in ownership and development

Bald Head Island, initially called Cape Island, has a long history. While most of the development has occurred in the past 50 years, here's a look back at the island's milestones.

1713: Cape Island is granted to Landgrave Thomas Smith. Included in what becomes known as the “Smith Island complex” are Bald Head Island, Middle Island and Bluff Island.

1789: Benjamin Smith, governor of North Carolina from 1810-1811 and the last of the Landgrave Thomas Smith heirs to hold title to the Smith Island complex, donates 10 acres for a lighthouse site to the State of North Carolina.

1794: The first Bald Head Island Lighthouse is constructed on the southeast point of the island.

1813: In July of this year, sea encroachment makes it necessary to pull down the Bald Head Island Lighthouse.

1817: The second lighthouse — Old Baldy, which still stands today — is constructed on a bluff overlooking the marsh and Bald Head Creek. It sits approximately one mile north of the original lighthouse site.

1826: Brunswick County acquires the title to Smith Island through foreclosure following the death of Governor Benjamin Smith.

1829: John H. Holmes and John Walker purchase the Smith Island complex at public auction.

1858: John Walker purchases undivided shares from a number of heirs of John Holmes and becomes the sole owner of Smith Island.

1863: Confederate troops build Fort Holmes on Bald Head Island.

1898: The U.S. Government acquires 20 acres for the Cape Fear Lighthouse and the “Federal Road” through condemnation.

1882: The Cape Fear Lifesaving Station is built on East Beach, approximately one mile above the point of Cape Fear. On April 10, 1892, Dunbar Davis, the first keeper assigned to the station, and his six-man crew successfully rescues all aboard the schooner, Minnie, marking the station’s initiation into service.

1916: Brunswick County forecloses on the Walker heirs. The island is purchased by T.F. Boyd.

1924: T.F. Boyd builds Pavilion Pier and hotel on the island’s southwest bank and promotes sales of homesites on “Palmetto Island.”

1936: Brunswick County forecloses on the Boyd heirs who bid $11,000 but are unable to come up with the funds.

1937: A second courthouse sale is held, and Allen C. Ewing is the high bidder, but Frank O. Sherrill purchases Smith Island from Ewing for $45,000.

1963: With a bid of $133,000, Sherrill buys the two lighthouse sites, and the island is under one owner for the first time since 1789.

1970: Carolina Cape Fear Corporation purchases Smith Island from Sherrill for $5.5 million.

1972: Carolina Cape Fear Corporation begins construction of the Bald Head Inn on South Beach and the island’s 18-hole golf course and applies for a permit to construct a 10-acre marina. The company also deeds major marshlands, six miles of Atlantic eastern shoreline and Bluff, Battery and Striking islands to the State of North Carolina.

1974 : The marina permit application is approved by the State of North Carolina and the Federal Corps of Engineers.

1976: Bald Head Island Corporation, a subsidiary of Builders Investment Group, acquires the Smith Island title from Carolina Cape Fear Corporation. In that same year, the Bald Head I passenger ferry is launched.

1979: Cambridge Properties, led by Walter R. Davis, purchases the remaining property and improvements from Builders Investment Group.

1982: Construction begins on the island marina and ferry terminal.

1983: Bald Head Island Limited, formed by the George P. Mitchell family, buys out Cambridge Properties and Walter Davis.

1984: BHI Limited constructs first mainland ferry terminal in Southport and begins operating passenger ferry service to and from the island. Administrative offices are built on the island, and roads and electricity create better access for property owners. BHI Limited contributes initial funds to assist with the organization of the Bald Head Island Conservancy.

1985: The Village of Bald Head Island is incorporated and becomes a municipality. Electric golf carts replace gasoline-powered vehicles.

1986: Old Baldy Foundation begins efforts to preserve the state’s oldest standing lighthouse.

1987: Environmental study of the island guides development of low-density master plan. Island-wide phone service is installed. Village Chapel of Bald Head Island opens for first Easter service. Bald Head Island Club organizes.

1988: Volunteer fire department is established. Conservancy day camp opens first season.

1990: Indigo Plantation and Marina ferry landing opens in Southport.

1991 : The Bald Head Island Club hosts a grand opening for its clubhouse. Construction begins on the Village Post Office.

1992: Construction completed on municipal office building for Village of Bald Head Island in what will become the Village complex, adjacent to Old Baldy Lighthouse grounds.

1993: Bald Head Island Limited deeds 178 acres of maritime forest to the State of North Carolina.

1994: Bald Head Island Limited donates land for expansion of the Bald Head Island Conservancy’s East Beach campus.

1995: Village of Bald Head Island holds first elections.

1996: Bald Head Island Conservancy opens new East Beach campus. Harbour Village Marina expands with improvements made to the ferry landing. Bald Head Island Limited builds new sewer treatment plant on the island.

1997 : New water treatment plant with reverse-osmosis system is built.

2000: Completion and dedication of the Smith Island Museum of History. First homesites are released in Cape Fear Station.

2001: The Maritime Market, a full-service grocery store, opens. A water line is installed under the Cape Fear River to provide Brunswick County water source to island residents. Grand opening of the Bald Head Association Center. The Bald Head Island Yacht Club is formed.

2002 : Two Idea Homes constructed at Cape Fear Station. Island residents get DSL internet service.

2003: Bald Head Island Limited celebrates 20 th anniversary of development and stewardship of Bald Head Island.

2004: Grand opening of the Shoals Club near Cape Fear Point. The Island Hardware store opens. New catamaran ferry, Patriot, is put into service.

2006: New catamaran ferry, Ranger, is put into service. Merchant’s Row commercial space is completed.

2007: Crew’s Quarters along Martitime Way opens, which includes residential and commercial spaces. Kent and Mark Mitchell, on behalf of the George & Cynthia Mitchell Foundation, donate $50,000 to the Bald Head Island Conservancy toward the construction of a proposed Barrier Island Study Center.

2009: Deep Point mainland ferry terminal opens.

2012: Barrier Island Study Center opens.

2013: Bald Head Island Limited celebrates 30 years as stewards and developers of the island.

2014: Timber bridge crossing the marsh and connecting North Bald Head Wynd and Keelson Row is constructed and opens for traffic.

2015: Southern Living Inspired community opens in Cape Fear Station on the east end of the island.

2017: Old Baldy Lighthouse celebrates its 200 th anniversary. Southern Living Idea House constructed at Cape Fear Station.

2018: Bald Head Island Public Safety complex completed.
