The Italian Perini Navi Group , the world-known large sailing and motor yachts builder, is happy to announce the delivery of the 45m sailing yacht Clan VIII , the result of a partnership between Perini Navi’s Design Team and Ron Holland and the fourth of the steel-hulled 45-metre series. Clan VIII superyacht was launched on September 6th.
Perini Navi 52 metre superyacht CLAN VIII
Perini Navi luxury yacht Clan VIII features all the hallmarks of Perini Navi yachts, including a spacious flybridge and the opening stern which reveals a structural staircase that descends to a 7m2 swimming platform which complements a lateral opening shell door on the yacht’s port side.
The Perini Navi-built mast rises 52 metres above the waterline and the super yacht Clan VIII carries an upwind sail area of almost 900 m2. The centreboard affords a draft of 3.9 m with the board up to 8.75 m down and in conjunction with her efficient appendages – including a rudder with a relatively high aspect ratio – and large sail area provides the best possible sailing performance for this ocean cruising yacht boasting a particularly large internal volume.
52 metre 2011 Perini Navi Sailing Yacht CLAN VIII
The midship machinery space includes a single Caterpillar C32 820kW diesel main engine, which gives Clan VIII yacht a 13.5 knot speed under power.
The interior of the sailing yacht Clan VIII, designed in-house by the Perini Navi Design Department, is inspired by a classical yet contemporary allure where ebony and teak combine to create a truly elegant marine ambiance, thanks to the unmatched quality of the execution.
The delivery of the 53rd yacht in the fleet confirms the continued strength of the Perini Navi Group which, in 2011, has also delivered the 10th 56-metre sailing yacht Fidelis and the 55m motor yacht Galileo G , the second Vitruvius® series yacht built by the Picchiotti brand.
Earlier this summer, two contracts for a total value of over 70 million Euro were signed – one for a sloop and one for a ketch from their new line of 60 metre yachts, further expanding the production plan of the group that today includes 7 yachts: one 50m sailing yacht (to be delivered in 2012); one 40m sailing yacht (to be delivered in 2012); one 38m sailing yacht from the Racing Line (to be delivered in 2013); one 73m motor yacht (to be delivered in 2013); one 60m ketch (to be delivered in 2013); one 60m sloop (to be delivered in 2014) and another 60m ketch (to be delivered in 2014).

Clan VIII is a custom sailing yacht launched in 2011 by Perini Navi in Viareggio, Italy.
Credited with a combination of technical brilliance and first class design, Perini Navi has always been in a class of its own. In 1982, unable to find a yacht suited to his personal concepts and ideas, Fabio Perini designed and built the first prototype of what would prove to be the most successful series of large sailing yachts in the world.
Clan VIII measures 45.00 feet in length, with a max draft of 8.75 feet and a beam of 9.73 feet. She has a gross tonnage of 325 tonnes.
Clan VIII has a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure.
Her interior design is by Perini Navi.

We are delighted to announce the sale of Perini Navi S/Y CLAN VIII with Jukka Kaukonen of KK Superyachts acting on behalf of his long-term charter client as the Buyer and Bruce Brakenhoff at Edmiston representing the Seller.
We wish the new owner many happy years of sailing onboard his new Perini Navi yacht now renamed as SERENDIPITY I and we thank all parties for the good collaboration on this quick and smooth transaction.
CLAN VIII is a 45m / 148ft Sailing yacht built in 2011 by Perini Navi with naval architect Ron Holland and is the fourth yacht to come out of the yard’s successful 45m series.
This sailing yacht has been built for a very experienced yachtsman, who wanted to circumnavigate the globe in comfort and take part in bucket racing in between ocean crossings.
She offers accommodation for up to 7 guests in 4 cabins comprising 1 full beam Owner’s cabin aft with a Queen-size bed, walk-in closets, a desk and a large en suite, 2 convertible Twins and a gym that can convert into 1 small Double cabin. She carries up to 6 crew.
Power comes from an 820kW Caterpillar engine delivering a top speed of 13.5 knots, a cruising speed of 10 knots and a range of 4100 nautical miles at 10.5 knots.
CLAN VII was asking 10,995,000 EUR VAT paid.

CLAN VIII can accommodate seven guests in four cabins, including a full-beam Owner’s cabin aft, with a Queen-size bed, walk-in closets, a desk and a large en suite. There are also two convertible twins, a gym that can convert to a fourth small double as needed and room on board for six crew members. CLAN VIII comes with a 5.50m Conrad Pischel jet tender, plus a decent selection of water toys, including two Seabob F7s, a wakeboard, a pair of stand-up paddleboards and waterskis. With an 820 kW Caterpillar C32 engine, CLAN VIII yacht has a top speed of 13.5 knots and cruises at 10 knots. She has a range of 4100nm at 10.5 knots. Key Features
