Rollin’ on the River Evening Cruise

2024 general jackson showboat evening cruise, featuring rollin’ on the river in the victorian theater, february 17 – november 9, 2024.

Join us for a legendary cruise down the historic Cumberland River on the grandest vessel afloat, the General Jackson Showboat! With  Rollin’ on the River , the Showboat celebrates the music from some of America’s iconic river towns. 

Our musical journey begins way down yonder at the mouth of the Mississippi in New Orleans where we’ll be playing jazz & swing favorites like “Jump, Jive and Wail” and “When the Saints Go Marching” in”. Next, we roll down the river to Memphis to enjoy a little blues, soul and R&B with number one songs such as “Soul Man” and “Respect” along with a medley of Sun Record artists like Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis and of course, the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. Our final stop around the riverbend brings us to The Music City–Nashville, Tennessee, where we celebrate the city’s early music roots, the incredible songs and stars of the 1990’s and finish with the sounds of today’s country music headliners. 

A magnificent, 8-piece showband fronts five of Nashville’s finest singers supported by dazzling costumes, dynamic choreography and a spectacular visual multimedia and light display. Monday – Saturday Boarding: 6:15 p.m. Departure: 7:00 p.m. First Call to dinner: 7:15 p.m. Second Call to dinner: 7:20 p.m. Dinner begins: 7:30 p.m. Show begins: 9:00 p.m. Return: 10:00 p.m.

(* ) – The calls to dinner, show time and return time will be 15 minutes earlier if there is inclement weather (rain, snow, cold, etc.)

(**) – All times begin one (1) hour earlier for public Evening Cruises scheduled on Sundays

*In addition to the cruise, meal, and show, the Captain’s Table experience includes a tableside greeting and tour of the pilothouse by the captain, upgraded dessert plus a souvenir specialty drink and shirt from the onboard gift shop
