After many years of serving our loyal guests, we have made the difficult decision to permanently close La Barca Cantina. We are deeply grateful for the support and memories shared over the years. It was an honor to serve so many New Yorkers and tourists, hosting countless birthdays, weddings, bachelor(ette) celebrations, corporate outings, and anniversaries. Since we won’t be back cruising the Hudson with your favorite dishes next summer, we wanted to thank you for helping us share thousands of tacos, margaritas, and unforgettable sunsets over the last four years! In Hudson River Park and convenient to Times Square, the High Line, Hudson Yards and the new 7 subway extension, Pier 81 is the prime destination for locals and visitors alike, with a fleet of floating restaurants and entertainment venues emulating the world’s best urban rooftops and waterfront social settings.

North River Lobster Company , the “Lobster Boat,” and La Barca Cantina , the “Taco Boat,” sail daily on the Hudson River throughout the summer season with more limited schedules in the spring and fall. Both boats also offer evening cruises to see the Statue of Liberty while guests dine and enjoy cocktails from our beautiful outdoor decks.

Our Restaurants

Launched in 2014, the award-winning North River Lobster Company is NYC’s first casual, fresh, three-floor floating lobster shack. Seasons later, North River Lobster Company still offers fresh seafood, light fare, signature mason jar cocktails, buckets of beer and a raw bar boat in a laid back, casual atmosphere and with even more casual ordering.

Conceived in Oaxaca and New York, La Barca Cantina is a modern and fun tribute to the rich culture, history and textures of Mexico. By honoring its food, drink and art, La Barca is a bit of Mexico in NYC.

WHERE TO FIND US

Pier 81 is located in Hudson River Park at 41st Street and 12th Avenue, just a short walk from Hudson Yards and the new 7 line subway stop terminus. We also have ample parking at a cost of $40 per day.
