Keegan Smith has been absolutely incredible to work with during all the stress of planning a unique and fun wedding. He has anticipated our challenges and calmed my fears. We have not even held our charter and I feel compelled to write this review. Not only has Keegan handled my concerns as the bride, he has fielded questions from other members of our charter with ease. I am sure the charter will be amazing, and I will provide an updated review after the event, but I 100% recommend Sail Away Catamarans and ask to coordinate it through Keegan!

We used Sail Away Catamarans for team outing and had a fantastic time! I worked with Keegan to book the experience and he was informative, helpful, and incredibly responsive. We had such a fantastic experience aboard the 7 Day Weekender Catamaran. Everything was beautiful, spacious and super clean (read: immaculate). We had a wonderful time on our catamaran cruise. The crew and captain were professional and very tentative to our family and friends. The boat was clean and beautiful with plenty of room for everyone to lay out. We will definitely use them again.

Our group had a wonderful time on the Makei and the 7 Day Weekender Catamaran (Two different sail dates). This is becoming an annual day cruise with friends. Sail Away has been very professional, accommodating, and a fun time! The boat was very clean and gorgeous with ample room for everyone to move freely. The Captain is very knowledgeable and was able to make this experience tour-like. We will definitely continue to be a long-standing customer!

Contracts Not Honored, Promises Broken, Phone Calls Unanswered... Buyer Beware. Sail Away talks a good Line. I took them up on their offer to bring the boat back to complete the promised repairs but they never setup dates, advised me where to bring the boat, etc. Just talk. They will not even reimburse me for parts I purchased under the terms of the agreement and completed the repairs on my own.

Mr. Akke, As you are aware, we have asked you to bring your boat to us a number of times so that we could take care of any of the remaining repairs. However, asking us to pay for issues that were not agreed upon and using outside contractors to do that work has always been beyond the scope of our agreement with you. I'm sorry this could not be worked out to your satisfaction but again we would like to let you know that our offer to do the work still stands.

My wife and I purchased a catamaran from Sail Away in August of 2015. We are happy with the boat but not Sail Away. Written promises were made but never honored. 2 years later we are still trying to get paid for work guaranteed by Sail Away that we paid for out of our pocket. Buyer Beware.

This was the highlight of our Santorini trip. We went in 4 (2 couples) and I found it perfect. Breathtaking views, amazing water, fabulous sunset, great view of the island and volcanos... perfect to relax, swim and enjoy. The staff is also impeccable, extremely professional, knowledgeable, very polite, impressive. The boat is also great, good space to relax, VERY well taken care of and super clean (and I am quite picky). Even food and wine were great! I would certainly recommend and do it again myself!

We did a private sunset cruise on the Tonina with our group of 13 and we loved it! We had an air conditioned mini coach to pick us us from our hotels and take us straight to the departure wharf. The crew – Petros, Sakis and Adriana – couldn’t do enough to make the whole experience fun, memorable and enjoyable! We swam at 2 locations (the pool noodles were great for floating around) and the drinks and dinner were plentiful! Watching the sun set over the ocean from the sea level was beautiful – different to watching it from the land. It was a very special experience and great value for money compared to the slightly larger catamarans and boats where we saw people packed on like sardines. Cant recommend it highly enough!

We booked this tour on the recommendation of our hotel staff, and it was the highlight of our vacation to Greece. We scheduled the sunset catamaran cruise for our family of 5 (2 Adults, 3 children ages 11-18). We were picked up at our hotel at 3:15 and enjoyed a private boat excursion all around the island, with stops for snorkeling and swimming, dinner prepared for us on board, and picture taking at sunset. Everything was spectacular, and worth every euro spent.

Lagoon 62ft - 2014

Yacht description.

Sail Away is a 2014 Lagoon 62 catamaran. It is spacious and modern and offers five queen size cabins, all with ensuite facilities. All the linens are of the highest quality and colours are very tranquil and relaxing. The salon and galley have loads of natural light from the wraparound windows plus there is really good headroom, which adds to the light and airy feel. The comfortable leather sofa can also be used as a formal dining option.

Outside there are three spots with plenty of space so everyone can have their own privacy should they want it. The cockpit offers a shaded dining option as well as comfy seating and a lounging pad. “Upstairs”, the flybridge offers a further space to relax and then forward there are trampolines for the sun worshippers. Three crew members that include a dedicated, award-winning chef, ensure your every need is met, even with 10 guests aboard.

Our personal opinion

Why book Sail Away – ENJOYING THE WATER – Sail Away has an excellent selection of water toys and a 15ft dinghy with a 60hp motor so it is perfect for skiing or wakeboarding. Add to this, the hydraulic lift for the dinghy at the back of the boat doubles as a perfect sunbathing platform, or a place to dabble your feet in the water with a cocktail in your hand.

Rendezvous diving

If your crewed charter yacht does not offer onboard diving then fear not, rendezvous diving can be arranged.

So what is Rendezvous diving?

A local dive company will pick you up direct from your charter yacht at a pre-determined location and take you for a one- or two-tank dive to experience the BVI below the water. This is an excellent option if only a couple of guests wish to dive or can work equally as well if all your group are interested. If your charter yacht offers minimal onboard diving, then rendezvous diving can also work if you wanted to add a few more dives during your charter.

Rendezvous diving is at additional cost, payable locally. The dive company provides all gear.
