YOUR CAPTAIN Josip Kovacev was born in 1982 and comes from a small seaside town on the Dalmatian coast not far from Split. From an early age the sea captivated him and his youth was spent swimming, diving, fishing and sailing with his grandfather. He experienced sailing for the first time as a teenage boy and loved it so much that he decided to obtain his skipper licence, YM100 and ISAF Offshore certificates. Being a native of the Adriatic Sea he knows it’s coastline and many islands perfectly and is eager to share the Dalmatian culture and heritage with you. You will experience many hidden pearls of the Adriatic with him as your Captain aboard the yacht. Josip is outgoing, positive, and really enjoys getting to know new people. He is a responsible, fun, social, and truly loves what he does. WHAT MAKES HIM HAPPY BESIDES HIS WORK, SEA & BOATS: Josip is a true sea-lover and likes all the sports activities related to it. YOUR STEWARDESS/COOK Lucija Grabovac comes from a family with a restaurant background, so hospitality has been her lifelong career. She´s incredibly sociable and friendly, known for her reliability, honesty, and self-motivation. With an optimistic outlook on life, she always seeks the bright side of any situation. She thrives on working with people and embraces adventure and open-mindedness, which is why she loves working on boats. Yachts of Blue Marlin Bali

All presented yachts are new and in excellent technical condition. We carry out maintenance on time and lovingly monitor our boats. Each vessel is equipped comfortably and in accordance with safety regulations. The boats have satellite phone, navigation systems, life jackets, as well as an experienced team.

Your journey will be featuring comfort, because we have already foreseen everything: the yachts are equipped with a toilet, a shower, a small kitchen and a cabin for rest. The rent includes the necessary equipment for snorkeling and fishing, soft drinks and fresh fruit. In addition, we can arrange transfers, provide accessories for diving and surfing, lunch at a restaurant on the island, a photographer, a DJ with equipment, and alcoholic beverages.

The minimum rental time is 4 hours, the maximum is 8 hours for a high-speed yacht and 4 days for a catamaran. We have several standard routes, however, you can make your own – our captain knows the terrain perfectly and will help with arranging the route.

Crew Profiles: CAPTAIN Jonathan Crews

Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, it wasn’t until Jonathan and his family moved to Australia where his passion for the outdoors and adventure began. He comes from a family of avid sailors which is where the intrigue for sailing started. Jonathan began his working career as an engineering Tradesperson in Heavy Fabrication & Welding. That experience gave him a broad background in all things mechanical.

In 2015, he decided to turn his dream of working as a Professional Yacht Captain into a reality and he obtained his Offshore Yacht Masters in South Africa. Jonathan has since had a vast amount of experience working on charter yachts in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, French Polynesia, Thailand, Australia and South Africa, working as both a Charter Captain, Delivery Captain and Lead Skipper of a flotilla company.

In his free time, between charter seasons, Jonathan also started a Safari company taking guests through South Africa, Namibia and Botswana. Experiencing the vast landscapes, animal safaris and 4wding (which is definitely not for the faint-hearted). Jonathan’s first love, however, will always be sailing, feeling most at home being in and around the water!

Jonathan spends his spare time participating in water sports, diving, fishing and travelling (anything that involves water really). Jonathan self-admits that he prefers the relaxed lifestyle that comes with yachting and would eventually like to purchase a yacht of his own and sail around the world with his partner, Tracy.

CHEF Tracy Shepherd

Born in the coastal South West of Australia, this is where Tracy’s love of the great outdoors began. Tracy grew up on a farm and started boating at a young age. Living on the coast allowed her to flourish on the beach and in the water.

Over the years Tracy has worked in several cafes and restaurants in Western Australia, well known for it’s famous wine regions. Tracy worked as a supervisor, chef and barista with over eight years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Tracy also studied Occupational Therapy, at Curtin University, which lead to a career in the disability sector supporting adults with Autism. Tracy has always had the urge to support others in need. She has since returned to working in the hospitality industry, having travelled overseas to a vast variety of countries, Tracy fell in love with the yachting lifestyle. After all, what could be better than travelling from place to place whilst working onboard a yacht!

Tracy has sailed around the western and eastern coasts of Australia, the Mediterranean and French Polynesia. Her broad cooking style incorporates an array of seafood, Asian delicacies and comforting Italian cuisines to make you feel like you’re experiencing different cultures.

Luxury Crewed Charter Rates

The Horizon Yacht Charters BVI Crewed Charter rates are for 7 nights per vessel and are based on the number of guests. Please see individual yacht pages for detailed specifications and charter rates. Horizon Yacht Charters luxury crewed yacht charters come complete with your own personal Captain & Chef (and in the larger yachts, first mate and hostess).  NB some yachts may be skipper only (with the option of a chef) – they are stated as such. Your meals aboard are included in the rate and prepared to your group’s individual preferences and dietary requirements. Beverages are also included but please note special requests for specific brands may be subject to an additional charge.  Watersports equipment (such as paddleboards, kayaks etc) are also included and some yachts offer all-inclusive diving.

High season rates typically apply from December to April, and Low season from May to November, but please do check the seasonal rates for your yacht.

Each individual crewed yacht may charge for certain additional expenses (e.g. National Park Permit, Cruising permit, different port collections or departures).  Please ask for a full breakdown of costs for your chosen yacht. Additional supplements may apply at Christmas and New Year.

All yachts come with tenders with outboards and safety equipment. Please review the individual yacht specification on our website for further details of available equipment and details of inclusions and exclusions.

Yacht photographs and specifications act as a guide and are for information purposes only.  Although we endeavour to ensure that images are accurate reflections of the yachts in our fleet, certain aspects may vary slightly.

Please note that our bareboat repeat client discount does not apply to our crewed charter fleet.

Charter Rates shown above are for 7 nights per vessel (Christmas and New Year supplements on selected yachts). Crewed Charters usually start at noon and finish at noon, but please do check times for your particular yacht.

• Hotel Accommodations  throughout the islands can be arranged. Most major credit cards accepted.  Please check our Accommodations page for more information.

An Environmental levy of $10 per head is payable by all visitors to the BVI on arrival (effective 1st Sept 2017).

Bookings and Cancellations  – We require a 50% deposit to confirm the reservation and the balance due of 50% no later than 45 days prior to charter start date. A smaller deposit and interim fee may be acceptable for bookings made more than 12 months in advance. Cancellation fees apply, and vary from yacht-to-yacht. Please check the specific terms for your yacht at the time of booking.

The Bali 4.5 Open Space combines Catana's experience in performance with their understanding of a holiday crew's accommodation needs. The designers have listened to their market and identified all the features that make for a great charter, whether you plan to holiday full bareboat or with the support of a crew.

The living spaces on this catamaran are rightly described as vast, with appointments of the highest standard as sailors have come to expect from Catana. 

The Bali 4.5's rig is  configured with smooth sailing in mind. The mast is placed well to the aft to reduce pitching, while a smaller main and self-tacking headsails make for easy sail handling.

Rating: 4 / 5 The boat was very good, in good condition, very clean and tidy and well equiped. Only one small problem, we had a lot of rain and the only table that would seat 8 was outside so having dinner inside meant that someone had to stand. Difficult to pick one place above the rest. We were a little disappointed at the Isle of Pines that the locals have the place sown up. But we enjoyed the whole trip. Navigation was not as difficult as i was led to believe. Rating: 5 / 5 The southern lagoon of New Caledonia is absolutely beautiful. We didn't get to the Isle of Pines but the overnight anchorages in the lagoon made up for it. We also spent a couple of days in the Bay of Prony in some very pretty anchorages. The wind was constant from the SE which provided champagne sailing for us. Offered by DMA Yachting, the impressive charter yacht C SISTERS is a 177 ft sailing catamaran. The most attractive features of C SISTERS are her absolute comfort and experienced crew. C SISTERS spends the summer and winter season in British Virgin Islands. She was delivered by the well-known ship builder Bali Catamarans in 2023. The spacious yacht layout features 5 large cabins and comfortably accommodates a maximum of 10 guests.

C SISTERS is offered primarily as a sailing catamaran. The the heart of the yacht is the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. Capt. Jonny Rorech Born and raised on the Atlantic seaboard of the US, Capt. Johnny has always had a fascination with sailing, pirates, and all things nautical. His dream of sailing grew out of seeing his uncle skipper a boat for over 30 years in the Bahamas and Virgin Islands. The fond memories of his Uncle always returning on home on his motorcycle, with a deep dan and a different bohemian blonds on his arm, inspired Johnny to take up sailing professionally. As a long-time nomadic filmmaker and underwater astronaut, Capt. J. Blue has spent the last 7 years working and traveling around South East Asia, immersing himself in new cultures and always ready to try new things. Formerly, an entrepreneur, Capt. Johnny Blue has now ventured into the deep blue unknown, traveling where the wind takes him and seeking new adventures on the horizon. Cutting his teeth in the sailing industry, while living and working in Phuket, Thailand, Johnny instructed others on this passion, while simultaneously running charters on various catamarans and monohulls, in the beautiful and breathtaking Phang Gna Bay in the Andaman Sea. After 3 year working in Phuket as a captain in Phuket, Johnny decided to take a stint in the Mediterranean, captaining a 49’ sailboat throughout the quintessentially Greek islands of the Dodecanese. Following a season there, Johnny delivered a Bali 5.4 across the Atlantic during peak hurricane season, before coming to the Caribbean to work for a company is the USVI’s. This is now his 2nd season in the Virgins Islands, and he is looking forward to many more to come. He continues to be passionate about teaching sailing to anyone that wants to learn and documenting the wonders of traveling through his educational YouTube travel channel. Chef/First Mate Daryl Hanna Daryl was born in Ohio and raised in South Carolina. He moved to the Virgin Islands at the young age of 23 and has been a resident for almost 20 years now. He made his way through high school and university working in various restaurants in the Palmetto state. Upon moving to the Island of St. Croix, Daryl made a full time career as a chef including tenor as Executive Chef of Savant, a consistent top 10 restaurant in the Caribbean where many famous celebrities frequent and even the current POTUS loves to dine from time to time while on vacation with his family. With his time as Executive Chef of Savant he received many accolades: 2017 USA Today Top 10 Restaurants in the Caribbean 2017 Pacific Tribune Exploring Paradise without a Passport 2018 Carib Journal 10 Hottest Tables in the Caribbean His cooking style can best be described as a fusion between French, Asian and Caribbean cuisine with a little touch of down home Southern Cooking. It was also at this time Daryl continued his passion for sailing. He has owned multiple sailboats over the years, cruising the Caribbean and traveling the world during the Caribbean hurricane season yearly. Daryl currently holds a USCG 100 ton masters license and many other safety certifications such as Advanced Fire Fighting and Medical Care Provider. An avid fisherman, Daryl loves trolling with a couple of lines out to see what fresh catch he can bring in for guests and whip up some fresh tuna poke or mahi ceviche. He looks forward to helping guests continue to fulfill their dream sailing vacation in the extraordinarily beautiful waters of the Virgin Islands with full bellies, smiling faces and happy hearts!!!

He moved to the Virgin Islands at the young age of 23 and has been a resident for almost 20 years now. He made his way through high school and university working in various restaurants in the Palmetto state.<br /> <br /> Upon moving to the Island of St. Croix, Daryl made a full time career as a chef including tenor as Executive Chef of Savant, a consistent top 10 restaurant in the Caribbean where many famous celebrities frequent and even the current POTUS loves to dine from time to time while on vacation with his family. Jump on the C-sisters with Captain Johny and Chef Dao and you won’t be disappointed. A quick flight to St Thomas starts the trip where the 54’ Catamaran awaits you. We spent a week cruising through the waters at the direction of an experienced yachtsman. His knowledge of the history of the islands and hideaway coves made it most interesting and enjoyable. We snorkeled everyday and found a vast array of sea creatures including turtles, stingrays and an octopus… in addition to the most colorful fish we’ve ever seen! We spent time on land hiking through St John’s Annaberg Plantation and Parcel of Concordia. The views and vegetation along the trails are postcard material. Bali Catsmart 38

The Catsmart, launched in 2023, is the baby of the Bali range at 38 feet. Although this is the smallest yacht in the range, it still feels big thanks to Bali’s innovative design (tilting aft door, no bulkheads in the saloon) and with twin aft helms, they have maximised the living space up top on this entry-level boat.

Those aft helms and the low boom give the Catsmart a sportier look than her sisters.

With a length of 11.79 m and a width of 6.46 m, the Catsmart stays true to the Bali DNA with features such as the solid forward cockpit, the huge open saloon/aft cockpit area and the Bali tilting door.

These yachts are available in several layouts including an owner’s version with two cabins and two bathrooms (one in each hull), and a charter version with four guest cabins with an option for two extra bow cabins in the forepeaks, either for the skipper or additional guests.

Living Space

The Catsmart has a solid forward cockpit lounge area with sunbathing areas. Aft, a platform connects the two hulls with a long bench seat with storage lockers. The tilting door provides plenty of ventilation through the saloon and a large living and galley space for a 38-footer. The fridge is more comparable to the competition on this boat: 137 litres of storage space with a 103-litre freezer.

And there is a chart table and seat ergonomically integrated into the bench.

Thanks to a wider sail plan and a low, accessible boom, the Bali Catsmart is an easy-to-handle boat that is fun to sail. The two helm stations, aft on port and starboard, mean that manoeuvring in the marina is easy. Reverse into your dock and throw the lines yourself. You’ll be sailing upwind or downwind as close to the sea as possible.

She sails well, too. on a beam reach with 16 knots blowing in a calm sea, you’ll see speeds in the double figures. You can choose s sail plan with a self-tacking solent or an overlapping genoa if you would like more power up front. And there is an option for a bowsprit to fly a Code 0 or gennaker off the front of the boat.
