Why wander near places when the good is so far away? At least for me! An evening business meeting can be edifying. At least if the ambience is right. I like the harbor restaurants. Because one usually has a nice view of the water there. The air here is somehow special. Unfortunately, it was already evening and February - so dark and with a view's it not really good. When we got to Zug in Switzerland at the harbor restaurant it was misty and cool. My first impression after entering the restaurant: the living room. Nice. FULL! We had a threesome a table and my colleague and I were still waiting for the third party of our meeting. In the meantime, we were warmly served with drinks and a very attentive waitress handed us in advance the food and wine list. The first impression: Expensive. Exclusive. Except for a few items on the menu nothing "simple", but styled fare Ok. I'm more for the simpler and less gravy. Except maybe for a roast. After the parties had arrived in the league, we ordered our entrees after a brief study of the cards. For my colleagues, this consisted of a salad with turkey, for our business partners from a pumpkin soup and for me from carpaccio of salmon and walleye - served with a small salad and a lemon vinaigrette. Seasonal fresh white bread. Very tasty, but for me a bit too much lemon in the vinaigrette. The main course consisted in three of us each from a 200g fillet steak from local beef to roast potatoes and blanched vegetables and king prawns. The filet was like butter and it could not be more perfect. The prawns were a little too dry and probably a little too long in the pan. But it was definitely just a touch and did not really bother. The dessert we didn´t order then, unfortunately - but there is certainly a next time. The coffee came from a special Espresso Machine and was wonderful velvety - served by our very attentive waitress. All in all - a not very cheap but excellent evening. Can be repeated. For sure. Categorization: 4 of 5 stars Value for money: main dishes from € 6.90, entrees from about € 5,00 Seats: 60 inside, 40 outside (lakeside) Specialization: Seasonal cuisine, German / Swiss cuisine, steak, fish. Recommendation? YES!

Service is waaay too slow here, especially when sat outside in 35c waiting one hour for the main dish. Craziness! Pretty views though. Could only come back for drinks or quick snack. A two course meal is asking for trouble!

Dear Customer....If you want to be ripped off and pay a sky high price for tap water on request, then this is definitely the place to come to. I was there on Friday 7 June 2019 - table for 2- for a simple vegetarian meal since it is advertised as a restaurant for vegetarian food. We ordered the only two choices of a la carte main dishes that are vegetarian: a salad and an "Asian" vegetarian wok dish. At the end of the meal we remained unsatisfied with the value for the meal - both dishes were CHF 27 each - and definitely not worth calling it a gourmet meal for the gourmet prices charged, although it is about the price range for main dishes in this area of Zug canton. What was completely unexpected was the price tag of CHF 8.40 for two glasses of tap water. Neither the menu warns you that there is a charge for tap water nor did the waitress say a word that she planned to charge for CHF 4.20 per glass of 300mL tap water. The food itself was not worth its weight: the vegetarian wok dish was salty owing to the overpowering taste of soy sauce drenching, and the salad was nothing but incredibly ordinary with mint yogurt dressing . Do NOT eat at this restaurant if you are looking for vegetarian food. It is NOT worth the price or the level of dishonest service that this restaurant practices along with the mediocrity of food served.

Amazing location, the only real terasse on the lake facing the lake ! Great place for apero as well as dinner or coffee in the afternoon in the sun. Good food.

This restaurant is on a perfect location on the shores of Zugersee (Lake of Zug), with quite a big, neat terrace extending out over the water offering guests a panaramic view of the lake. The restaurant is by the Yacht club of Zug so there were a lot of boats off to one side of the restaurant. Fortunately, none of the boats obstructs the lovely view out the window and from the terrace. The interior inside was a very elegant mix of contemporary furnishings, all fabric sofas and a wonderful mix of colours - green, purple, black, dark red. It's a long, a little narrow almost, room but the splashes of colour, muted lighting, the chandelier by the bar and mirrors, coupled with the view, created a wonderfully modern, surprisingly understated and comfortable atmosphere that was neither too casual nor too ''chic''. I was very comfortable there in my worn sneakers and t-shirt (this was after a loooong day trip to the south of the country, on the train, on a fairly hot and humid day.....). Not to say I normally condone such outlook to a nice restaurant, but the place was just easy going and not overtly fancy. The food was quite good; I ordered the asian noodles with the black tiger prawns but it was a little too heavy in ginger scent for me. My husband had the grilled seebass with jasmine rice, in a lime & vinaigrette sauce which was rather delicious .... so we swapped :-D. The serving staff was friendly and helpful; when we arrived we were told that the place was fully booked but we were welcome to eat at the lounge if we wish. After ordering our drinks, we wondered to the head waitress whether anyone was about to finish as we don't mind waiting for a table. Almost immediately, she came back and informed us that a table had been found for us, to our pleasant surprise! (Apparently, it was because a couple came in and found that their table had no tablecloths on there and so decided against eating here......ok I agree that having tablecloths transforms the restaurant instantly, but it's not a reason NOT to eat there.....). After that, the service was efficient, our starters came without a hitch (a garlic bread for me, wonderfully crisp with just the right ''ungentness'' of garlic and an asparagus soup with tiger prawns for my husband). The main course followed with the perfect amount of pause. We did not stay for dessert or a coffee as I was eager to finally go home, but we would like to come back for a brunch on the lovely terrace once the weather is nice! There is also a decent amount of parking outside the restaurant (expected of course given the yacht club there) so it's very convenient.

It is a café, restaurant, lounge and terrace all in one, offering modern cuisine with the best and freshest ingredients; the breathtaking sunset on the spacious terrace is free of charge.

The fish cuisine is the fillet piece of the menu. The dishes, traditional and hearty, simple and modern, are prepared with fish from the local waters whenever possible, and the menu is rounded off with Mediterranean meat specialities and successful vegetarian creations. Of course, one or two Swiss kitchen classics are not to be missed. At lunchtime, daily changing lunch menus are served.

From mid-November to the end of January, guests enjoy homemade fondues in the Nordic fondue tent on the lakeside terrace. To get you in the mood, a hot mulled wine with roasted chestnuts is a delicious treat. Afterwards the favourite fondue can be chosen from 100 fabulous variations.

Tucked away in beautiful Point Loma, the San Diego Yacht Club is consistently ranked among the top 5 yacht clubs in the Nation and is recognized by the  Club Leadership Forum  as one of the finest facilities of its kind in the world.

Throughout its existence, the San Diego Yacht Club has evolved from a small gathering of boating enthusiasts joining together in 1886 to a world-renowned yachting community recognized for its success in bay sailing, ocean racing, predicted log racing, cruising, angling, and its support of youth programs at all levels. Competitions have ranged from Major National and World Championships to the Lipton Cup, from Junior Regattas to the Olympics, and from Classic yachts to the America’s Cup. Training and racing programs are available for adults as well as juniors.
