    "Hiro" was the 25th out of 287 "Columbia 30" Sailboats designed by the infamous Bill Tripp in 1970 and produced between 1971 and 1973. Her sails are excellent and is her hull and interior is in great shape but she'll need a little mechanical work to get her to mint condition.     IMHO, I think the Col30 is a pretty good intermediate-level boat. Not as high-strung as the Melges or Hendo, but more aggressive than the J109 and is trailerable. Better interior, quality, and finish, but more costly than the base FT10. The saildrive is really convenient but adds drag and can catch kelp.
